Giovanni's Pizza — Restaurant in Russell

Place an online order at 6:15 PM and was told that the order would be ready in 25 minutes. Arrived at 6:40 where I waited at the drive-through window for five minutes before being attended to after telling them my name they told me it would be about 5 more minutes. 15 minutes later, I’m asked if I can park my car because it’s not done yet and it’s just getting put on the rack. Parked my car for 10 minutes. Pizza had still not came out. I went inside to check on it to find out that it had just been put into the oven and was going to be done here shortly. All while my cheese sticks were sitting on top of the oven ready to be taken. The manager Matt said the reason it wasn’t done was because it was busy and that they had 4 new staff in the kitchen. When I asked how my cheese sticks were able to get done and not my pizza, His response was that cheese sticks are the easiest thing in the world to make. To me it sounds like as if they didn’t start to make my pizza until I got there As they overlooked it on the ticket. How about next time we are honest with the customer and tell them their food didn’t get put in toe oven instead of leading them on as if it was about to be done soon. Thanks again for that Matt! I would gladly go to any other pizza place before we’re going back to this establishment as this is not my first time of having issues...

Did not enjoy my visit at this Giovannis. We chose the buffet and they would not let us serve ourselves. I understand they have a policy in place regarding the pandemic but why not just keep the buffet closed until it’s clear to do so. The server that served our food was giving us the worst parts of the food. I asked for cheese sticks and she was trying to put off the end pieces that were dried up and difficult to remove. I guess she wanted to save the best for later . I did call her on it and ask her to give me the center pieces telling her I prefer the softer ones. Also I asked for pepperoni pizza and instead of telling me they had one coming out of the oven she chose to give me the last two pieces of cold dried up pizza they had left. So I had to go back up and get a different kind of pizza because it was not edible. Will not go back to this particular Giovannis again. People really seem to amaze me...

It must have been an OFF day. We sat and waited 10 minutes for a server to take our drink order and silverware. After 10 minutes we decided to go ahead and get our food at the buffet, hoping we will get a server soon. We took food to the table and sat, no silverware, no server. I went and asked the cashier for silverware, he said our waitress will be right there. 5 minutes later, we have no silverware so I poke my head through the swinging door and ask a woman for silverware, she said " give me a minute" After a minute and another and another and another, we get up and leave. I tell the cashier, who doesn't appear to be busy, he's just standing there. "we have been here 25 minutes without service of any kind so we're outta here" He simply says "I'm sorry" and doesn't offer to remedy the problem. As I said, it must have been an OFF night because I've never seen it...
