Ruby’s BBQ and Catfish — Restaurant in Russellville

Horrible experience, would not recommend… We went at a time when they were not busy, 2 other tables and 3 waitresses. They were out of pulled pork and fish, it’s in the name, but didn’t even have that. I asked the waitress to order whatever her fav meal is there, for me. I always do this when trying a new restaurant and I’ve never been so disappointed until now. Our waitress forgot our straws until I asked for them, about 10 mins later and also a third fork, we had a table of 3,. Which is totally fine, it’s easily forgivable! But, they really lost me when I saw the medium steak I ordered literally dripping with blood and the bake potato I ordered came as baked beans, instead. And when I tried to eat that steak, it wasn’t even hot on the inside, despite coming straight from the kitchen. I have now been up all night, sick, and I’m fairly positive that this is why. I am not one to complain, as I have had several years of working in the food industry. But they were not busy, this was just unacceptable. Since they all looked so young, I assume it’s just lack of experience…not really her fault, just whoever trained her or lack of caring on her part. The waitress never offered to refill our drinks, she didn’t check on us a single time after bringing the food, except to drop off the check (I still left a $6 tip, which, had the experience been better, we would have left $20.) While we were eating, some people came in to clean their windows, that’s fine. But, while doing so, a young lady who worked with them literally put her hand inside of the back of her pants about 5 feet in front of me and scratched her butt…talk about a “good atmosphere” 😳 upon leaving, all of the waitresses gathered at the desk and asked how our meal was. I told them about a couple of the problems and they offered me a tater for the road bc they forgot my baked potato. Um, what? She also knocked a few dollars off of our total, making our meal $53. I do not mind at all to pay for what I ordered! And, I always tip generously, as I worked as a waitress for a time and I know how hard that can be. Anyway, the meal still cost $53. If it had been worth it, I truly would not mind. I’ve paid more for less. But the only thing good about the food was their Mac n cheese, that was excellent. We got a plate to go, so we could bring leftovers to our dog. She ate the whole plate clean, but didn’t touch the baked beans. She wouldn’t even eat them. My fur baby literally eats everything, so much so that it’s a problem and she gets in trouble for it.

Highly dissatisfied, disgusted, and I doubt they will last half way into next year. Don’t waste your time or your money on a dining experience like this. I would have rather had Taco Bell. It’s over priced and was just a waste of time. I will...

One of the worker that Brought my husband and I my husband Felt like she was rude the way she was talking and the same lady that brought us are good was bear foot Serving food to the customers. It's family own but family owner but you should not in any circumstance. Serving food as a waitress or a waiter barefoot. Or wear Shorts That shows the bottom of your Cheeks I will not be going back or Recommending this place to...

Solid family-run style lunch spot today serving up yummy decent portions of Southern fare quickly and reasonably-priced from friendly servers. Spacious cozy interior with ample parking outside and a location just off the main road on the fringe of town. Drove up from Jasper for an errand and knew soon as I passed it that I'd be hitting it up afterwards rather than eating any franchise stuff further in town....
