Dippin’ Donuts — Restaurant in Rutland

Stopped here today at 5:15 pm (literally 10 minutes ago), almost an hour before theyre supposed to close. I thought I would just swing around the corner and grab a coffee while I was waiting from dropping my niece off at a lesson. I walk in & the guy working tells me that they're closed because he has to go pick someone up from work. And would not make me a coffee, even though they still have all of their coffees out. I understand emergencies, but I'm sorry, if you're working a job, it's your responsibility to do that job & I don't see someone waiting an hour for you to get out of work as an emergency. I've been many times without a vehicle & waiting is the name of the game when you rely on someone else for rides. That's just the way it is. And any job I've had wouldn't let me leave an hour early, causing the store to completely close because I had to give someone a ride home. The least you could've done is let me buy a coffee seeing as how you literally had all of your drinks still out. Thanks. Dippins disappoints yet again. For the cost of this place I really expect better. So this is a hard no...

I really like the Dippin' chain. They have quite the selection. Whether you're looking for a caffeinated delight or even one without. Delicious coffee, milkshakes, etc. Something for everyone! Donuts are only $1 after noontime, or maybe 2 for $1? I can't remember which, but it's a good deal! Big variety of flavors. Many goodies you won't find elsewhere. If you're interested in something sweet to eat, try their bismarks! Another great one for a tasty beverage is the Horchata, available iced or frozen! This is a great, blue collar, 'grab a coffee on the way into work' spot. Nowhere close to a Starbucks. No oatmilk cappuccinos. No venti pumpkin spiced lattes. No free wifi (you're lucky if you get cell service inside). No tables to write your next screenplay at while listening to the top indie playlist. This is a coffee shop inside a gas station convenience store, plain & simple. Great donuts that taste like they were made fresh that morning. OK (not great) breakfast sandwiches.
