I came here yesterday for the first time and didn’t have a great experience. I decided to brave a restaurant with my two kids after a busy morning and no time to pack lunch. When we were being seated, the server looked mildly inconvenienced and said she could push two small tables together for us. I noticed a vacant booth in the back and asked if we could sit there so I could contain the kids. She said they prefer to save the booth “in case a large group comes in”. I said okay, and she brought us over to the two small tables. She then asked if I would be okay with just a single small table (a two seater) and I said there’s 3 of us so pushing them together would be better. Not long after, I noticed a 3 person party was seated in the exact booth in the back that I asked to be seated in.
She asked us for our drink order, and I asked if they had orange juice for the kids. She said she didn’t know, sometimes they have it and sometimes they have apple juice, and told me to check the fridge in the front of the store if I was able. This was confusing to me because we were dining in — is it a restaurant, is it take-out, or what is the concept? Anyway, then I ordered a mocktail off the menu, and she told me she didn’t know if they had it. Again I was confused - it’s on your menu. I asked if it was bottled and that’s why? She said yes and that she could check if they have it. So I wrangled my kids to the front of the store and quickly found the orange juice and headed back to the table. They did end up having the canned mocktail and she brought it over.
We ordered food, and it took a very long time to come out so the kids were getting antsy. They started standing on their bench seat and saying hi to people. Every 5 seconds I was asking them to sit down, the food is coming, sit on my lap, have a sip of your drink, etc. Everything the best intentioned parent does, but still unsuccessfully getting a hungry 2 year old and 4 year old to stay on their bums while waiting a long time for their food. Not being crazy or unsafe or running around, just standing on the bench at our table and looking and saying “hi”. I tried and tried and tried. Then the server comes to me and tells me to please have the kids sit on their bum. I said I’m desperately trying, that’s why I asked to be seated in the empty booth. She says I know, I’m sorry. I wonder if she is not a mom, because there was no grace for this stressed out and hungry mom who rarely takes her kids to a restaurant by herself and was trying really hard to get her very hungry toddlers to remain seated (although they weren’t being disruptive, unless you count ‘hi’ as disruptive). She then tells me that it was just bad timing on my behalf, because they just got rid of all their kids toys and cars.
Once the food came out, they sat down and ate and were completely perfect. I don’t normally write reviews, but this really added a lot of stress to my dining experience here and it just wasn’t helpful at all. I’m still confused why you wouldn’t seat us in the booth, then sat another 3 person group there right after. I’m sad because I did like my sandwich, but clearly you’re not accommodating...
Read moreParkdnh in Rye, NH for a couple dark beers & a fantastic killer burrito to warm up during this chilly season. Moving to the seacoast area recently has allowed me to find some excellent small businesses, pubs, eateries & restaurants I may never discovered including this fun spot. A pretty decent craft beer list here with a couple beers I hadn't had & a small, but perfect food menu for lunch. I had a delicious burrito that was stacked with all the good fillings, but I added chicken for some protein & threw some hot sauce on to take it over the top. My girlfriend got the pulled pork grilled cheese & enjoyed it as well, definitely a good food experience. 🌯🥪🍻🔥
The beers I enjoyed while here were the SMUTTLABS: MAGIC BEANS Coffee Porter which was a above average porter from the fun semi experimental craft beer line over at Smuttynose Brewing a New Hampshire & New England staple. The second pint I had was the phenomenal EAST BROWN AND DOWN Brown Ale from Barreled Souls Brewing Company out of Maine, a spot I cannot wait to hit soon. 🍻🔥✌♥️🍺
Great little hidden gem for sure, it's always great when a food truck can expand into a cool little eatery without sacrificing any of the freshness or quality. They have a nice tight menu that made them popular enough to open in a permanent location so they're definitely doing something right. I'd go back again & PARK my ass at the bar just for that burrito & a new beer or two for sure. Plenty of seating options in the small dining room including bar, tables, rail seating & a booth or two. Service was excellent from our bartender Shawn & I can't suggest supporting this place enough! 🍻🍻🔥☘😋
FOODGASM RATING - IS BURRITO FEVER A THING BECAUSE IT'S GOT ME SHOOK 🍻🍻🍆🍆🍆💦💦💦🥵🥵🌯🌯✌♥️🍺

Read moreFrom the Wrap Shack, owners Ben and Sarah have provided good vibes, positivity and great comfort food. PARKD is no exception. With an expanded menu there are a variety of choices and Ben’s Burritos are better than ever. Having waited more than 1.5 years for this burrito, I was salivating as I waited for my food. When we arrived there no one was in the restaurant, but by the time we left there was a line out the door! I counted 31 people (and more came) so get here before 12! In the 43 minutes we were there I counted a total of 72 people getting food and drinks. They have a cooler with prepared food, salads and sides ready to go - especially great for the beach. Proud to say we were the first ones EVER to be served alcohol here as we just arrived as the beer taps were just installed. Great value, great food, great people. Love the logo, and the throwbacks to the Wrap Shack - it proves we should never forget our history.
Adding a pic of the amazing...
