I booked Bagel Run for catering for the morning-after brunch at the Marriott Saddle Brook following my wedding. The only reason I booked them was because the hotel let me know last minute that their kitchen would not be open to serve our brunch per our original agreement, and that we would need to cater from an outside company. Bagel Run came recommended by the hotel, and I did not have time a week before my wedding to research and book another catering company. I contacted the owner, Fagi, who immediately came off very shady, and told me he wanted me to pay via Venmo. I had to ask him 3 times to send me a printed invoice before I would do so, so that I would know what I was paying for. After he sent the invoice, he asked me how much I was going to be tipping (this was well before the services were rendered). I was immediately turned off, but still booked him, because again I did not have time due to the hotelâs negligence. The morning of the brunch, they had 1 employee drop off the trays of food. There were no servers included in the agreement - all they did was drop off the trays. . They did not even set up the brunch - the hotel staff took care of that. They also forgot the trays of French toast, which I had to leave brunch to call and remind them about, and they came back to drop it off over an hour into the brunch. The food was only ok, nothing special. When everything was over, I sent Fagi a separate Venmo with $150 for the tip. He actually had the nerve to text me , not even thanking me, and ask why I did not tip a full 20%. This guy actually expected me to tip him 20% of the total bill ($290!) just for dropping trays of food off, and not even serving anything. Completely unreasonable and unprofessional, and I will never recommend...
   Read moreThis place is terrible the older man prepping the bagel is using the same gloves to touch everything else never changed his gloves , the cashier lady kept asking me what I got what I got as Iâm trying to explain to her she keeps cutting me off and saying was there anything on it well if you let me finish Iâll be able to tell you. We went paid for it , then she screamed I need to cancel I forgot the water . She didnât just want to charge for the water stating we didnât pay for it as we showed her it came off our account she continued to say no . I told her we would just leave the food then and she looked at me with a dirty face my husband paid for it again . We are waiting to see if we get refunded if not we will definitely be back for our money . I believe customer service is everything if she would of spoken nicer & wouldnât have cut me off numerous times rushing me I would of been nice . I donât like being rude but these people look soo miserable & are rude . I will never come back here...
   Read moreI was in the area yesterday with my partner looking for a a place to grab lunch at before heading off to our destination. We arrived to a clean and well-stocked bagel place. At the time, we didn't realize that they were getting ready to close but not only did they not rush us to order, they took the time to make everything plus had fresh coffee for us. And that was just the start of a great experience. The bagels are clearly made the "traditional" way, and they are absolutely wonderful The texture and flavor were perfect. This was a top 5 bagel experience in my life and whenever I am in the area, I will be sure to drop by for a bagel! This rivals the best bagels I've had in NYC and is a gem of a breakfast...
