Athena's Kafenio — Restaurant in Sadsbury Township

If you have not gone to Athena’s Kafenio, I highly recommend it.

If you feel a bit down or not having a great day, or just could also be interested in Greek treats, Athena’s Kafenio would help. Now not many people know it, but every customer that comes in is satisfied with many aspects.

First, the food options are very delicious and inclusive of many different diets. The website includes many different options for coffee, fruity delights, sweet treats, and other delicious drinks. I went with my sister and her wife one day. I enjoyed the amount of different options displayed when we first came in. Everything I found was less than $10 and items were suitable for every diet. The ice cream I got was cookies and cream, the ice cream was delicious. There are also many other options for anybody to enjoy. There were not only a few options—but an astonishing variety of both fruit smoothies and coffee and a little of each.

The service is also spectacular. When I went, it was before my sister’s wedding with my cousins in the car. When we started driving to the wedding, we all decided on ice cream beforehand. We went to Athena’s due to it being very close to my mom’s house. When we went in, it was very calm and comforting. We asked for ice cream and the service was fairly quick—taking less than 5 minutes. It ended up as a good experience before an even better one, an amazing start to the day.

Also, there can sometimes be fun people. One of the times I went, there was a cart of puppies. They were all very cute. Therefore, my experiences at Athena’s Kafenio were very positive...

An absolutely first rate ice cream and coffee parlour that's a welcome addition to the pleasant village of Sadsburyville. The store is easily visible from the street and has plenty of parking in the back that is easy to get in and out of because of the low speed limit. It's an easy walk for most of the local residents.

Inside, there are a variety of different seating options, including some comfy chairs to relax in and tall and regular tables. There's also a patio with tables and chairs outside. The restrooms are clean.

Sugar cones, waffle cones and bowls in various sizes are available for the ice cream, which comes in a multitude of delicious flavors from Pennsylvania's famous Leiby's creamery. All kinds of toppings are available. For my first visit, I chose a waffle cone with the delicious Bordeaux Cherry ice cream, which is like a rich, gourmet-style black cherry that needs no accompanying topping.

The atmosphere of the place is great. Staff and customers are all wearing big smiles on their faces. It's certainly a good place for families, or to bring a friend for a coffee or a cone. I very much look forward to...

We stopped by this cafe out of sheer luck on the way home to NY from a PA getaway. I had their dirty chai tea latte - excellent. We got my daughter the child size cookies and cream ice cream and she said it was the best she ever had. My other daughter who was feeling sick and initially said she didn't even want ice cream had one bite and we had to go back in for more. The lady at the counter was super sweet and chatted while we waited. We also had a deliciously sweet blueberry muffin. My only regret is not buying more ice cream for my husband and myself. Also, extremely clean and there were water cups we were able to use to put the kids ice cream cups in so they didn't leak all over on the drive home. I wish we lived closer bc I would definitely be a regular. They had a lovely outside eating area as well which I would have taken full advantage of it we didn't need to get back home.
