Eichman's Bar & Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Sageville

I heard the place had good food so my husband and I tried it out the other night. We odered the combo basket. Mainly for the mushrooms but no mushrooms where in it. Waitress said that sometime when they run Out of an item the cook will add extra of another item and said shell check to see which it was. But didnt get that answer which is ok..just kinda wish we were told ahead of time so we could adjust the order..but still not a huge deal. My husband got the steak sandwich mainly for the texas toast.He asked for no onions and mayo on the side. He got it on a regular bun w onions and he said it was all gristle/fat and no mayo. He showed the waitress she didnt know what was going on but offered to get a new one..he declined saying being in the food industry himself he knows show some cooks can get. Hope he didnt come off as insulting and the waitress assured they wouldn't be that way..but he said he was ok and he will go w.o. My burger was good but my fries were overdone like they were fried twice and kinda cold..they didnt taste good sorry, We also told the waitress about that. She was awesome ,I hope we didnt come off too bad.. I tried to be as nice as I could because I know How things can be and it wasnt her fault..he did kinda Have a slight tone. but when the food isnt the way we ordered or no communication on changes to the dish that isn't how its described on the menu. .It doesnt give the best experience. Still not the end of the world..Im still wanting to try again..maybe. Just an...

Soup 'n Salad bar is complete with a wide variety of tasty salad favorites. Had a filet mignon steak (6oz, and as they advertised it was fork tender) large baked potato, rolls & altho' I passed on dessert, it looked very good...ALL for $16.99. They were busy (not surprising) & service took a while, but that allowed for plenty of time to re-visit the soup 'n salad bar. Multiple dining rooms were fairly quiet for conversation. Will add them to my favorite Dubuqueland...

Took our neighbors on a small road trip to Eichman's for the first time last night (we are in SW Wisconsin) and the food & atmosphere absolutely lived up to the reputation! Everything was great and we ordered a wide variety from broiled fish, to pizza, to sandwiches & specialty Mac & Cheeese. Our waitress was super kind and attentive, and the owners were absolutely great to talk to while we had coctails at the bar after dinner. Will 100% be going...
