This makes me truly sad to say but avoid Columbo’s for smoothies. Back story: I’ve owned in St John since right after the hurricanes. Driving around during our first visit, we came across Columbo’s Smoothies. We fell in love. We put up with it being cash only. We even let them coast on having wonky hours. They were that good. I never missed a visit when I was here. I brought my family and friends. Today we drove up to Columbo’s which I was sad to find out on my phone on our way was closed on Monday. We drove past anyway and was thrilled they were open!! We looked at the menu and the woman working there informed us they only had three smoothies available because their kitchen was closed and they were shutting down. It was 3:20. They close at 4. I asked when I’d have to be there by to get the full menu. I was informed they start closing at 3. Strike 1. My bf chose a smoothie and as I didn’t like any of the 3 offered, I asked for a water. Total? $16.00. Seriously.😑 Strike 2. It took 20 minutes to get that one smoothie. Strike 3, you’re out! I couldn’t have wanted to leave a good review more!! I am so sad. What used to be fun, vibrant and friendly with cheerful staff has turned into an overpriced tourist trap with sullen “groovy” tweens behind the counter. It’s...
Read moreWe’ve come to Colombo’s for years, and it has always been a family tradition. It has sadly gone downhill, and it is totally not worth the money. We visited yesterday, just before noon, and the lady said they were basically out of everything. We all got smoothies, spent close to $100, and everything was really mediocre. We decided to try again today, earlier in the day. Spent another $100, and everything was flavorless, too much milk, too little fruit and just overall, super disappointing. I concur with another reviewer - the new staff member needs an attitude adjustment. She’s incredibly rude, and she clearly needs some training on how to prepare the food. Huge disappointment. I hope things improve...

I get "island time". However, when we pulled up there were six people between two parties waiting for their orders. We were asked to wait until their orders were filled before placing ours. Fine. 20 minutes later and we finally had a chance to request our two smoothies and one grilled cheese. At that point we were the only people there. Yet it took nearly a half hour for our two smoothies and one sandwich to be made. And there were two people working.
Nearly an hour wait for two smoothies and a sandwich is a bit ridiculous. I can't imagine what it's like when they're...
