We ordered two orders of Chicken Lo Mein, 1 pt size Chicken Fried Rice, and 1 order of 2 Egg Rolls and 8 wontons (very reasonable price on those) I highly recommend the Lo Mein. It was very delicious and had lots of carmelized onion. The fried rice had diced egg, green onion, and bits of chicken and soy sauce mixed in and lightly fried. The egg rolls are a must. As my son called them, “Big Beefy Boys!” No beef in them though lol. The lady who owns it assisted us. She was very kind and helpful as we were deciding what to order. I forgot to order pop and instead of running my credit card, she gave us one of them for free! Now that’s good customer service! Also made us feel very welcomed and chatted with us a bit.

Compared to other take outs that I usually go to, this is a sketchy, hole in the wall place. Service was amazing, super helpful staff. Food is very good, only giving the food 4 stars because it is a bit bland but very editable. The building unit could use a bit of air flow, you do notice a musky smell, like stale air. My overall experience was very good. I would definitely try this place again. I had the Chicken Lo Mein and Spring Rolls

Lady at the counter mislead me into buying something after I told her what I wanted to eat. food was inedible. She wanted to charge me again to make the food that I described to her that I wanted. Was rude on the phone and tried to make it seem like I just wanted a refund. This was described as “ chow mein ”

March 2025. Well, I didn’t stick to my word and I went back and I was given a quart of rice that smelled rotten a couple of hours later, my husband and I were looking for the stench and low and behold it’s the 1 quart we hadn’t touched yet, we did say beforehand that the rice we were eating looked a bit grey and didn’t quite taste what we were used to but didn’t recognize that smell. Guess they left out some chicken and I was the unlucky sucker of the day, allegedly, RIP 🪦 Mei Mei’s. After this I won’t be surprised when you are closed.

Original review: First I’ll say the food I’ve had is by far the best in St Paul (sweet n sour chicken, egg rolls and all the fried rices). This time I wanted to try something new. The woman that takes orders usually pleasant but hurries you on phone when trying to proof order one time telling me she’s been doing it a long time she got it, basically saying no need to proof, well the one time I don’t proof I ordered Kung Pao chicken and got Kung Pao shrimp. I called from the car and the conversation ended with her telling me “well I made you Kung Pao shrimp” and hung up on me! I spent close to $100 for this treatment and what’s worse it had like 6 baby shrimp in it mostly souped up vegetables. I’ll find another spot I’m sure of it but she won’t get my...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place. Food is Always on point. Great prices buffet. Mei Mei is very kind and always ready to make my favs fresh if not available. Always a calm kind atmosphere and conversation. Always will be my #1 👍👍👍

So. I must add to my review for now. Im not aure what has happened to Mei and her husband but I am seriously concerned. This isnt their character tp be gone like this. Also. The service is now none existent. The woman working there is a serious memory and health/safety issues. .. I watched her carry glasses of water , with only ice mind you to our table with her bare hands near the brim. Wooo.... Then she forgot the order not once not twice but 3 times and the fourth time forgot to come back and take the order. We left... My friend ordered food a week or so later ... Tonight, those people are still there and the food was horrific... Orange chicken was slimy and lo mein was beyond belief disgusting... Wasn't worth going back to get refund or remake because wouldnt eat anything there. Waiting for Mei to return before ever eating there again. Just a...

The food isn't exactly the same as many other commercialized Chinese restaurants, but it's absolutely delicious and loaded with tasty vegetables, perfectly cooked noodles or rice, and tender meat, all in portions big enough to eat for two or more meals! Their fried rice isn't as fried as I would expect, but I get their lo mein every time I go, and their thin noodles and crisp bean sprouts and onions never fail to delight! For a real treat, try some fried chicken - it isn't breaded in thick chunks like KFC, but instead a lighter, ultra-crispy batter over juicy meat. It's a real hidden gem of a menu item. Lastly, do not miss their wontons! They're a classic Chinese food indulgence done right, and they disappear on the dinner table. I go here once or twice a month and I cannot express how grateful I am to have delicious and affordable food that gives me a reprieve from cooking and doing dishes when I just need a break. Thank...
