Well my wife and I met up with 2 good friends for some drinks and food on May 16th 2025 to start. We have been going to OBB'S for years and NEVER experienced this! We sat at the bar and had a couple beers the We all ordered food the bar. The bar tender an older blonde haired lady was GREAT! but then after a while a younger guy started bartending wich he was good also. But at around 5pm there was another middle aged blonde haired woman that was bartending it must of been shift change or something. This lady asked my wife and I what we were drinking and I told her a Lagunitas and my wife told her clear as day a strawberry margarita blended she turned to grab the glasses and then leaned down onto the bar and asked my wife if she is OK! ARE YOU SERIOUS! For one there were people still sitting at the bar that were there when we got there but kept serving them! Then asked her if she wanted a beer or something lighter! That lady began to be the bartender around 5pm or so. She was TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE AND ACTED LIKE SHE WAS IN CONTROL! She was there maybe 20 minutes and that's being graceful and then to say that to my wife! THIS IS TO THE OWNER! NOT THE SAME PLACE AS IT WAS SINCE YOU TOOK OVER! AND YOUR EMPLOYEES! GOOD GOD! I WILL TELL YOU THIS AFTER OUR EXPERIENCE TODAY 5/16/2025 AROUND 5PM. I WILL NEVER ENTER YOUR ESTABLISHMENT OR GIVE YOU ANOTHER CENT OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR FISH FRY'S ARE! WHO EVER THAT BARTENDER WAS NEEDS TO BE FIRED AND TRAINED LET ALONE SHOWED HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE IN GENERAL LET ALONE A PAYING CUSTOMER! AND TO BE CLEAR WE DID HAVE DRINKS BUT MY WIFE RESPONDED TO HER IN CLEAR AND PLAIN ENGLISH NO SLURRING OR ANYTHING! BUT SHE DECIDED SHE HAD THE RIGHT AND POWER TO DISRESPECT MY WIFE! NOPE DONE WITH OBBS! SORRY BUDDY YOU JUST LOST BUSINESS AND MONEY BECAUSE OF ONE OF YOUR BARTENDERS! GREAT JOB! AND AWSOME CUSTOMER...
Read moreUsed to be my favorite place to eat, the food was good to very good. I went in on a Sunday during football season, I ordered a pitcher of beer, and drank it kind of slow, watching the games. I finished my pitcher, ordered another. The bartender stated since I was drinking alone that that would be my last pitcher. I was kind of suprised, since none of my actions indicated I was overly intoxicated. I wasn't very mad or anything, I politely stated 'I walked here, and just live across the street'. Some older gentleman with white hair who was sitting at the bar, and obviously VERY INTOXICATED AND RED FACED, got up from his chair, and stumbled over to where me and the bartender were, grabbed my pitcher, spilt it out, and very rudely told me to leave. I didn't argue, grabbed my phone off the bar and walked out. I had lived across the street for 2-3 years, been ordering food for take out, and eating in the whole time I lived there. Honestly the food was pretty good, and it was very convenient to my home. I've never been drunk in there, or ever caused a problem. I am Native American, and the only reason I can comprehend that treatment is racism. I hate to 'play the race card', but I can't come up any other reason for the behavior towards me. I became very disappointed being it was one of my favorite places to eat, I obviously vowed to never return, and give my money to someone who obviously felt about 'my skin color' the way he did. It is the year 2015, and you'd hope by now racism would be a part of the past. Don't get me wrong, the food is very good, I just can't justify giving someone who feels about me the way he does, just because of my skin color. This is the first negative 'rating' I've ever wrote about...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this neighborhood place. Unfortunately, it was not what we were expecting. Went on a Thursday evening, waited 15 minutes just to have the server greet us and ask for our drink order. Those drinks didn’t come until 10 minutes later, for two bottled beverages mind you. We placed our food order of Thursday prime rib special and a grilled chicken wrap. Luckily, we had good conversation and initially didn’t notice how long the food order was taking. Roughly 30-40 minutes later the cold prime rib, soggy wrap with burnt chicken and cold fries were served to us. It took another 5-10 minutes for the server to come check on things. She asked the kitchen for new fries and prime rib cut which only took less than 5 minutes to get. The new cut of prime rib was more than 50% fat and not edible plus the new fries weren’t cooked throughly. By this point we gave up and set our card on the table. Server didn’t check back with us for another 15 minutes while we patiently waited for her to notice our stacked dishes and empty drinks. And no, it wasn’t busy, there was 3 other tables in our area. Such a disappointment when so many people have recommended this...
