Hi-way cafe — Restaurant in Salisbury

Went tonight to eat with my husband. Ordered 2 specials and 2 sweet teas. Spaghetti was extremely bland and dry and my husband could hardly eat the chicken fried steak. The cook (Tammy) is so incredibly loud that I can hear all of her conversation in the kitchen. Some of the owners family came in tonight (assumption based off of comments) and it blows my mind how people talk to there kids and day things incredibly loud. Really hoping someone New comes into this area and sets there standards a tad higher especially with the food. You can definitely tell mashed potatoes are flakes, gravy is old but hey the garlic...

Good place good food love the little environment look even though we were outsiders they made us feel like home clean place. They have great fresh tenderloin so if you can’t get none in your area, this is the place to get it. I will be making a trip to come back again just to eat. It’s worth the drive. very good customer service gave good conversations was on top of serving some things that you have to ask at other restaurants they already need to bring it out....

I love finding places like this. This old diner is the kind of place where you can be an obvious stranger, yet the staff are so welcoming. I was in the area for work, and was the only one who didn't park a pickup truck. I ordered eggs and bacon and hash browns smothered with sausage gravy. This is the kind of meal that should come with a place to nap afterwards. It was delicious and an amazing price. I look forward to coming back and trying...
