I'm not normally inclined to write reviews... But this place defined "Hotel Restaurant". Prices are exceedingly high. I ordered the special which was a New England Clam Bake... It was $42 so my expectations were high. The lobster was black on top and very chewy. The clams were laughable, very small, and a few were completely empty. My fiancee had the veggie buger which was pretty solid and normally priced.
Beers were $9... but after we spoke with the staff, all of whom were very friendly, beers were free... So that kind of made up for it!
Maybe growing up in NE ruined future experiences with lobster and clams... Or maybe they simply mispriced this special. $24 would be...

When I requested a change of table because of noise, the hostess refused to accommodate me because the other (unoccupied) tables were reserved. I asked again (by this time my son was mortified) before she gave us a table away from the noise. She was obviously put out. It was not the high note I hoped to end the vacation on. I will return to the Inn because the location and accommodations are great, but I will think twice before dining...
