Japan Express 2 — Restaurant in Saluda

I don’t usually post reviews but this one needs to be shared. I got a chicken & noodle stir fry and 2 chicken egg rolls. The meal was mostly cabbage, a couple of carrot pieces and several pieces of very dry chicken in a salty sauce. Very unappetizing. The egg rolls were very dry, stale and chewy, completely unable to eat. I wasted $13. The entire meal ended up in the trash except for about 5 pieces of the chicken which I gave to my dog with my apologies. 2 shrimp tempura 1 number 34 Tempura was so heavily breaded that the iols was still draining and nearly burned a hole in the take-out box. Breading FAR too thick for tempura and so soaked with oil it started making me ill.

#34: why do they ask how you want your steak if all they do is cook it past well and serve very overcooked scallops?

They make an effort, but care very little apparently about the finished product. I doubt anyone there would eat what we were served tonight.

First time going, but it won't be my last. I got the Chicken Yaki Soba noodles and an order of the fried cheese wontons. Food was cooked to order, and even though I got it to go, it was still hot and fresh when I got home. Chicken was tender, vegetables were nice and crispy but cooked properly, and the flavor was nice. Not the best I've ever had, but really good. The stars of my order, however, were the fried cheese wontons. They were lightly crispy and filled almost all the way full. I'm sure they are prepackaged, which is fine. But they also were cooked properly....
