La Contenta Golf Club — Restaurant in San Andreas

If you’re at all concerned about pace of play, never play at this course.

11am tee time, by hole 15 we were approaching the 4 1/2 hour mark. Pace of play was not being enforced whatsoever.

I asked the employee in the pro shop if there was a marshal enforcing pace, he said and I quote “I drove out there around 12, everyone was playing to pace”. That is what he told me at 3:30pm, a whole 3 1/2 hours after he claimed to have driven around. Absolutely inexcusable.

Was that enough for you to reconsider playing here? If not I’ve got more!!!

We have played this course a total of 5 times including this day, and EVERY TIME our cart has died somewhere on the course, usually around hole 11 or 12.

Also, no drink carts came at any point on the course.

So to sum it all up, this course is completely incompetent with running an efficient operation. They can’t even be trusted to charge a golf cart overnight!

Our friend flew half way across the country to enjoy a couple days of golf with us, and one of them was a complete disappointment and the absolute worst golf experience we’ve ever had....

Ill be very honest I was very disappointed when Your golf manager texted me and told me that he threw all of the Golf scorecards in the garbage that had my business ad on it. This means he also threw away all the ads for multiple other local businesses as well. He used the excuse that he was using other scorecards as those businesses complained that their ads weren’t being shown. Ours were the newest cards sent from the advertising company and we paid a lot of money for it.We pay for those ads and this is not a way to show community support for local businesses. I called corporate tried to resolve it and they basically didnt care. Ive since been able to get my ads into other country club Golf Courses with the advertising company, however We were frequent customers at La Contenta both at the Restaurant and on occasion my husband and friends played at the course until this happened. Im certain that the manager did this as a favor to my competitor and so sad that he chose this path. Be better humans...

So... We've been here in the past for burger night which is always hectic with really slow service due what what looks like understaffing... But because you're paying such a good price you can look past it. Today however is (Mother's Day) unforgivable. Wow, way to make a special day for our small community just a terrible experience. From the ridiculous lay out of the buffet which was laughable because who puts a buffet in a L shape in a doorway? Then to add to the ridiculous... They ran out of food. One waitress said we could wait but they were only able to restock a few things but it wouldn't really be a full spread. Just refer to the photos... Two ladies were already yelping the crazy condition of the place. Never again. I would have placed reservations at Jackson Rancheria if I had known but you live and learn. DO NOT DO THE BUFFET EVENTS ITS...
