My husband and I head to Murphys at least twice each summer. We always stay at the Murphys historic hotel and always dine on their outside patio. But we always pass by The Pickle Patch and say..... maybe next time....next time. Well, this past Monday as we rode out of Murphys we decided... Let's try this pickle place! It's not a typical restaurant where you get greeted, seated and a server takes your order. It's more like , look at the menu, order, pay, take a number and seat yourself. But that was okay with us! We decided to eat outside even though it was about 100 degrees. The outside lawn and landscape and water fountain was beautiful and serene and we forgot it was hot out! My husband ordered a club sandwich with salad and I ordered a BLT with salad. We each ordered ice tea but they do serve beer. Our meal came after just a few minutes and we were instantly amazed at the size and portions! We had such an enjoyable lunch that day. Although......our guts were bursting all the way home! I can honestly say that for the ambiance and food our $26.00 was WELL spent! We definitely will be back and will tell everyone we know to stop at The Pickle Patch......!!! And of course..... sandwich comes with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give it 5 stars, but for this visit 3.5*, the people were very nice, the food came out very quickly it seemed, my wife 8 yo son and I sat outside, its very spacious and quite beautiful with its shady trees and tastefully displayed antiques , a wishing well fountains etc. The inside was also very cute, the menu nice and simple and it all sounded very good, we each ordered a sandwich rhat came with a side of chips or macaroni or potato salad and then wife an I also ordered an extra salad to share ,I had lemonade which was tart but i liked it,, wife an son had water ( she said tasted like tap water which im assuming she didn't like it so much ) but unfortunately we were not impressed with the food,it looked good but wasnt to our liking I guess and for a $70.00 lunch for 2 adults an a young child it was unfortunately on the disappointing side. We may try it 1 more time down the road as it was a very nice setting and the people were nice, its worth giving it one more...

The salad portions are large and could feed two. I was pleasantly surprised by a piece of whole grain bread (that looked homemade) that was equally delicious, especially dipped into the balsamic vinaigrette.
My only complaint - I took the salad to go and was only given a napkin. No utensils. Luckily I keep that in my desk drawer.
The place is popular for lunch, so expect a crowd. I called in my order and it was waiting for me by the time I got there (10 mins). I lucked out and got the last parking spot in their lot. I have heard there is a great outdoor eating area but didnāt experience that firsthand.
Oh, and their ice tea has great flavor. Prices are higher than average but the food is worth it. I paid $15.55 for the...
