Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom — Restaurant in San Angelo

We were visiting the city of San Angelo on a road trip and looking for excellent pizza. The pizza did not disappoint and the environment was so incredible (music, view, outdoor space)Before we left, I confirmed that this location recently opened on Fourth of July 2025. Our teenager was worried about choosing a place with only one review, but I anticipate there will be many more before too much time. They have a neat tap card system for beer dispensation. I actually don’t drink but thought it was pretty fun to observe. We had four different pizzas and they were all excellent ranging from the simple margherita to the Carne Asada pizza. It was an incredibly busy dinner hour on a Thursday night. Pizza took a while, I think between 45 minutes to an hour, but we got salad (Greek - SO good) and the fruit topped dessert to eat beforehand and explored outside. If heaven had a lake view and served pizza, it would look a lot like Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom. The pizza is so good I briefly considered proposing to it, but then realized the staff might judge me (and honestly, they probably get that a lot).

The Captain pizza had me saluting every bite, and the Heat Wave almost made me see Jesus—but in the best possible way. Pair that with a cold local beer from the tap, and suddenly my problems don’t exist anymore (at least until tomorrow).

The staff are friendly without being fake, the vibe is chill but not sleepy, and the view makes you wonder why you don’t just move into the parking lot and call it a day.

Bottom line: if you don’t like Lakehouse, you probably also don’t like puppies, sunshine, or happiness....
