Chile Tomate y Cebolla Mexican — Restaurant in San Antonio

Came here for lunch as I was working near by. Had been here years ago for breakfast and the experience was pleasant. Well how things change. I ordered a Tortilla Soup. Had gone to google maps for the menu and prices. Well to my surprise. The soup was almost $12! They only have one size on the menu for $7 and change but I was over charged. I even told the waitress. She told me it was a large that was the reason for it being so expensive. Well I only get 30 minutes for lunch and it was to late to go elsewhere. Never again. If you come here and order to go. We were visiting from Houston for 4th of July weekend and we wanted a good hearty Mexican restaurant. This place was near where our Airbnb was located and it seemed like a small cozy place. To our surprise this place turned out so delicious!! Every was authentic Mexican breakfast. You can tell it’s a family owned place where everyone that is family works there. Although there was a sign saying they were short staffed and be patient, we had no trouble with service with our party of 6. Everyone was nice and courteous and again, the food was the best. We went on Sunday during brunch time, no wait, we were attended right away. Food came out fast and was all fresh, with homemade tortillas. Very reasonable prices. We had breakfast food, and it was all delicious. We would definitely come back. They even brought us a waffle to sample, which was pretty good. I think they are going to add it to their menu soon.
