Pollos Asados Don Jose — Restaurant in San Antonio

Bad food because they gave not what I order. I order a 1 lb of carne asada & 1/2 lb of carne asada, two boxes. ( I been here before I previously order separately occasions 1 lb ; 1/2 lb , on other days so I know how it looks like in it) I went today to the restaurant to buy a 1 lb of carne asada and 1/2 of carne asada. I received my order and then I got home , I got home for the family. I open the large box and it was not carne asada but beef fajitas not what I order. I order a 1lb of carne asada like the ticket says . I open the large I notice it not what I order and it does look like less than a lb of meat, like like it was leftovers. Less than a 1 lb it seem it looked. Then I open the smaller box of 1/2 lb of carne asada , it was the meat I order but inside it look like less what it is. Then I open the tortillas then two of tortillas bundles had in it beans smashed into the tortillas, I did not order beans tacos . Even the beans looks like served beans. Like leftover beans from a plate. Our family were so hungry so we eat the meat , but it was obviously the food I took home seem not what I order . I think it was someone else order like leftovers. The last several years our family would order from this restaurant but this happened. To everyone else I highly recommend to stay Away from this restaurant bad individuals not giving correct order . And the food is not serve fresh

First off, this was our first visit. The service was fine but the food took a while to come out. We ordered the family deal which has it all. The beef fajitas were delicious. They came with grilled onions n bell peppers. The sausage, however, had no taste and were dry. The chicken, which is the star of the place, was very good. It has a reddish color but isn't hot or spicy. The skillet also had grilled green onions and a banana pepper stuffed with queso. Also served were beans borrachos and rice (very good by the way). The meal also came with corn tortillas which broke apart a lot. We ordered sweet tea to drink with our meal. If you want sweet, better add sugar cause it wasn't sweet at all. Overall, the food was very delicious except for the sausage. Don't know what kind it was but it failed in flavor and in juiciness. The meal took a while to come out which surprised me because I thought it would've been ready to serve but they obviously made it fresh so that's fine. It came out hot and juicy so no complaints from us. On a scale from 1 to 10, with ten being the best, I'd give the place an 8.
