I hope I am fair in this review, and I intentionally waited before I wrote to make sure I stuck only to the facts. I was at Capo's 5 days ago for dinner, our party had 6 people, including my parents. That was our first time there (we were visiting from Austin) and we chose it because we saw on internet it had won some awards before (best pizza in town I believe). When we got there (it was early, there was literally nobody at the tables at that point) I got a good impression, the place seemed very clean, organized, and I liked the decoration. I noticed there were no hosts, nor servers (which is normal in some pizza restaurants), so we ordered at the cashier, I said we would eat there, and I asked if we could sit in any table. And that is when the first problem happened, we had to wait for a long time (honestly I didn't check how much exactly, but I would guess around 40 minutes), and food was not coming. I finally decided to go and ask the cashier about it. She asked what I had ordered, and then asked the folks in the kitchen (right next to me) and told me there was a confusion, the pizza was ready but they thought it was to go, and the salads we ordered were not ready. She then got some salads from the fridge (similar to those in a plastic container you buy at the grocery store). They were obviously cold, and she asked if that was ok. I said no, I said I was expecting them to be fresh and served in a plate. She said she would do so then. By the way, she was going to serve us the wrong salad type (Cesar), I remind her then we all had ordered the house one. A minute after that pizza and salad were served. Salads seemed ok, and pizza was not very hot, but it was actually very good, so we were ok already at that point. But then, my girlfriend noticed most of the leaves in her salad were bad. And, my mom found a hair in her pizza (unfortunately she couldn't see it, so she found it in her mouth). My mom just couldn't eat the pizza anymore, and my girlfriend went to talk to the cashier about her salad (I didn't tell her about the hair until after we left the restaurant). She got a refund for her salad, and we left. It was frustrating. Some mistakes might have happened, but I think the employees had good intentions. Maybe they were overwhelmed with to go orders? We never had any argument, nor were disrespected. Unfortunately though I don't feel like going back there (although I don't live in San Antonio), nor recommending it. Given all of this, I could give it an one star, but I am going with 2. Maybe we were just unfortunate. Hope this is review is...
Read moreI had a bad experience with takeout but my niece insisted on going again, so I acquiesced. Sorry I did. While her wings were good,my salad was wilted and poorly constructed (Caesar isNOT rocket science) and we ordered garlic knots. The server came out and told us they burnt the order so we opted to have them make them again. The second order that he served us was also burnt and inedible. Maybe if they paid more attention to the food and customers than their cell phones things would be better.
UPDATED 04-16-24: so, they changed their name and though reluctant, I went tonight to try it again. We were the ONLy ones in the place, and three employees behind the counter/kitchen. They served the appetizers LONG after the pizza and other items came, and when we asked the server why, he stated that they had to make items as they were listed on the screen….ridiculous. Then, when bringing the garlic rolls (which are good) the server spilled hot melted butter all over me and never offered an apology or anything. When we questioned what was taking so long on one child’s order, the server said “well, there’s only three of us back here.” REALLY? We were the only folks in the place, and no takeouts! Ridiculous. They can change their name (as they did) a hundred times but the lousy service and management needs replacing before I’ll ever go back. HORRIBLE.
But, if you like watching FOX news, it’s the only thing playing...
Read moreStaff don't care if you wait 30 extra minutes for your expected order. Like I did tonite, well pretty close. I called in placed my order last visit which was great. I was informed we close at 8pm. I showed up 2 minutes prior. Another customer was already inside. Girl cashier ask my name, I mentioned Robert. She goes around to the back and I don't see her for 20 minutes. Time is 8:16 at this moment. I cough and say Excuse me. An employee with dreds comes from around wall and talks with girl at me. Stating there was a mess up and my pizza is now in the oven. I mentioned why is this my fault and how you gonna compensate my time waiting around. When my order was to be picked up ready at 8pm. Employees continue to argue with me saying give my money bak and send me on my way, with no pizza for my kids. I said you are wrong, guy smiles and said give his money back, and says here the pizza. I get home and it's the wrong faulty order they made and I never got me pizza I waited on patiently and order happily. This is Disgusting behavior of Employees as both the white girl and blk guy were smiling as they knew. I'd think twice before eating here folks, it's like a "waiting" pizza parlor movie over here.
My kids won't eat it !! They...
