Came by to try this place with my family and i on a Friday night. Drove close to 45mnts and only to be treated very rudely by the waitresses one in particular named Jackie. Only to get kicked out! I would rate a 0 if possible. Got here before 10pm and waitress stated they were closed and closed @10p. The sign outside clearly states 10:30PM, google says 9pm. The fruit area next door still open. Asked kindly to speak to a manager and waitress stated there was no manager to speak to asked me to call him if i had his number to go right ahead. Asked for her to call him so she did via phone call spoke with manager Carlos and not once did he apologize or try to make the situation better. Stated due to the pandemic they pretty much close at the time food ends anytime they choose to pretty much. Funny thing is cooks cleaned up pretty fast and finished in the kitchen before 10pm and were sitting around speaking to the waitresses while having a couple of beers probably even on the clock ain't no manager watching🤷‍♀️ Last but not least i offered to drive another 45mnts only to come and correct the sign on the front door for the manager. Never will i come to this place also the conchitas w/queso were hard as if expired or been out for a while! Don't come here. Take your business else where.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Sandia restaurant, and I left with a lasting impression of their delicious Chilaca regia dish. As a lover of Mexican cuisine, I was excited to try this regional dish, and it did not disappoint. The Chilaca regia is a traditional dish from the northern region of Mexico and La Sandia's take on it was exceptional. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the sauce had a perfect balance of spice and tanginess. What I loved most about this dish was the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients. It was evident that La Sandia took great care in sourcing their ingredients, which elevated the overall taste of the dish. The portion size was generous, making it a perfect dish for sharing with friends or family. The presentation was also impressive, with vibrant colors and a beautiful plating. The staff at La Sandia were friendly and attentive, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend trying the Chilaca regia at La Sandia. It is a delicious and authentic dish that showcases the rich flavors of northern Mexican cuisine. I will definitely be returning to La Sandia to indulge in this dish again and to explore more of their menu.

Sandia: A Hidden Gem of Authentic Mexican Cuisine

In the midst of an early morning storm, my husband and I found ourselves seeking refuge and sustenance at Sandia, an authentic Mexican restaurant that had just opened its doors at 7 AM. Despite the adverse weather, the staff's dedication was evident as they braved the elements to offer a warm and inviting dining experience.

Upon entering Sandia, we were the first customers of the day, but it wasn't long before others began to trickle in, drawn by the promise of a hearty Mexican breakfast. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable meal.

I opted for the huevos rancheros, a classic dish that did not disappoint. The eggs were perfectly cooked, nestled atop a bed of freshly made tortillas and smothered in a rich, flavorful salsa. The accompanying beans and rice were expertly seasoned, completing a dish that was both satisfying and delicious. My husband chose the asada mini tacos, which were equally impressive. The tender, marinated beef was complemented by fresh cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime, wrapped in soft, warm tortillas that tasted homemade.

Our waitress, predominantly Spanish-speaking, added a charming touch to our experience with her sweet demeanor and earnest attempts at English. Her hospitality made us feel right at home and underscored the genuine, heartfelt service that Sandia offers.

The dedication of the staff, evident in their early start and commitment despite the rain, reflects a profound respect for their craft and customers. This level of dedication deserves recognition and, most importantly, our support. It's places like Sandia that remind us of the importance of valuing and respecting the hard work of those who strive to bring us such joy through their culinary talents.

In conclusion, Sandia is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff's dedication is truly inspiring. We left with full hearts and full stomachs, already looking forward to our next visit. To anyone visiting, remember to tip generously and show respect for these hardworking individuals who make Sandia a standout...

The WORST service ever they got my order not once but twice. I ordered two potato egg and cheese tacos as I don’t eat meat I expressed that very openly. I got back potato and ham tacos with no cheese. Not that I would have eaten them. The eggs were also burned beyond recognition. Then I proceeded to order green enchiladas with cheese not chicken. Nope got the wrong order again! Tex Mex enchiladas not even the right enchiladas with chili sauce which contains beef. I told the waitress as politely as I could that’s not what I ordered she said “yes you did” i couldn’t believe my ears everyone at the table confirmed that’s NOT what I ordered so I replied “you know I told you I was a vegetarian whats this!” She said “cheese enchiladas” I said “never mind” didn’t want to argue with someone who doesn’t know what the restraint they work at serves. It clearly had beef. I wouldn’t ever order something I KNOW contains beef. Ended up ordering strawberry’s and cream outside. The display was full of flys and the cream was watered down and not even whipped they dumped a bunch of whipping cream and then watered it down with 2% milk. I’ve never had a worse experience at a restraint in my life. Don’t go here if you care what you get the waitress doesn’t seam to care or know what...
