My family and I are from Phoenix, Arizona my mother's cousin took us here. My mom and I ordered the Jalisco Pollo (I hope I spelled that right) and margaritas. This was some of the best small town food, margaritas, and the service was exceptional with an enjoyable atmosphere. If I ever drive through San Diego, Texas, again in the future. I will definitely stop by to eat here again.

As I walked in was warmly greeted by personnel and was served by Blanca real friendly and funny. The food took a bit long but was well worth it. The food was spectacular and service was great. If in town definitely stop by for good food and great customer service.

TBH I'm sure the noise of dishes slamming in the tub scares off customers to rush out of there.

A Hidden Gem – Taqueria El Jalisiense! 🌮❤️

Taqueria El Jalisiense is an absolute treasure! This family-owned gem delivers authentic, flavorful Mexican food that feels like a warm hug from home. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, making you feel like part of the family. The staff is incredibly kind, always ready with recommendations and a smile.

The food is out of this world! Each dish is bursting with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the hearty burritos. The salsas are a must-try—each one is fresh and packs the perfect punch of heat and flavor. You can taste the love and care in every bite, and the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth.

It’s clear that this business is run with passion and pride. The quality and service are top-notch, and I love supporting a local, family-run spot that truly cares about its customers. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—Taqueria El Jalisiense is a...

Me, my dad, and uncles use to come hunt at a ranch near el toro road in San Diego about 8 years ago. There wasn’t a day we wouldn’t eat here when we use to go out there. The most amazing freaking tacos de fajita. Everything was amazing here. It was so good that before heading back home to Houston w had to order tacos to go. We are from Houston and I’ve been craving the food from here so bad, I’m willing to do the 4 hours of road trip just to eat these bad boy tacos again. With tortillas made by hand and real outskirt fajita instead of that cheap chuck steak tacos other taquerias. I come from a butcher family and know what good quality meat is and that’s all this restaurant works with which definitely makes them stand out. If your in the south please come out and try these tacos from here! Amazing, then with a real fresh lemon squized lemonade that they serve...

The food is usually very good. The older lady who runs the drive thru could be nicer. Ive noticed recently that when we order tacos they are very inconsistent. Sometimes it’s worth the money but other times they really skimp on the filling. And don’t forget to order your extra sauces at the first window because they will not accept any cash at the pick up window and will ask you to go all the way back around. Food and prices are good though and will continue...
