I planned a quick weekend trip for my wife and I to hike around Colorado Bend Park and we stayed here because it's conveniently located 2 miles from the park. When we got there it was such a cool and unique place with good vibes all around. The place has a general store which had any last minute items you might need, an enclosed beer garden/bar with stage for live music and an outside patio with fire pit and picnic tables to socialize and a few cabins for overnight guests. We stayed in the deluxe cabin that gave us our own bathroom. Place was very clean and cozy. Cabins are simpke and perfect for a place to rest your head after a long day of exploring and hiking. The place really comes alive at night with the all the lights and entertainment. Staff was extremely friendly and checked in with us regularly, sat and chatted for a bit all while maintaining the best customer service for everyone else. The food was solid and didn't disappoint. I had the double meat cheese and bacon burger and my wife had the catfish with slaw and hush puppies. Fries were crinkle cut and crispy but not too salty, burger was solid and left me super full. I tried some of my wife's catfish but she ate most of it before I could get more but definitely worth the drive for dinner. Bret and his staff were so friendly and such down to earth people we felt like at home instantly. If you're looking for a unique place to stay...
Read moreDon't eat here! Gave me diarrhea. After visiting Gorman Falls I decided to stop-in here and get some food. The inside of the place had an off-putting odor and I should've followed my instincts and just left based on that. But I was super-hungry after a day of hiking and this is the only restaurant for a good distance. So I decided to just go sit outside on the patio where the air was fresh and order something. The service was VERY slow, and they were out of chicken and catfish, so a burger was the only option. Took forever, and once the food finally came out there were no napkins, no condiments, no flatware. Burger was not very good at all and the beef patty was really thin. But I was starving so I just ate it. If there had been other restaurant options nearby I probably would've sent it back and left to go somewhere else. Spoke briefly with the owner of the place while I was there and he was a rude pr1ck! Guess he can mouth-off to people like that and still stay in business when it's the only place in town. Bless your heart! I really wish I had just waited to eat until I got to the next town though, because about 18 hours after eating there I had explosive diarrhea. Oh - their "restrooms" are literally two Porta-Pottys. (Based on other reviews, stay tuned for a response from the clown that owns the place with colorful lies about how we were "kicked out"...

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an eclectic, super laid back atmosphere that instantly made us feel at ease. The vibe is just fantasticâperfectly relaxed but lively enough to keep the energy flowing.
We caught two incredible live bands during our stay in the overnight cabin , and the live music really set the tone for a fun and memorable evening. The food was absolutely on pointâespecially the catfish and loaded fries, which hit the spot and kept us coming back for more. The burgers looked amazing - but we were stuffed! Bret and all the staff are super friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. We also loved the fun photo booth â great for capturing those spontaneous memories!
