Since the new owners took over, the staff is friendly, but the place is dead, no more live music, think they even took the stage out. There's hardly anyone eating. Especially during busy times. The place use to be packed and could never find parking. but now expect almost an hr wait till you get your food when the restaurant is 1/4th full of people. The food selection is meant for yuppies ( city people). It's a restaurant/bar in the country.... I think they need to cater to more country folks than city folk. Such as bringing back more options for burgers and hot dogs, and do more country home-style cooking. Simple foods. You shouldn't have to Google a food item cause it's so fancy and it's what city folk eat at a high-class restaurant. Use Redland Cafe for an example of the foods they serve.... that place is always packed with people. We don't come often but when we do, food takes forever to get, along with the order is usually incomplete. My husband twice now has ordered a salad with chicken, and the waitress writes it down, but both times no chicken. I ordered a burger with Cajun fries, but they forgot the fries. I asked for Cajun fries, they come back when we are all almost done eating and give us regular fries. If Redland Cafe wasn't so packed and we could find a spot to sit, we would just go there. So we settle. Please bring the simple home country meals, I bet it would bring more people in. You do have...
Read moreI went to this place a few years ago and had delicious food⊠that was not the case today. Our server seemed perturbed that we were there. They was very short and was obviously annoyed that we declined alcoholic beverages. We ordered the nachos and the smash burger. The nachos were a soupy mess fit for a wild boar hog. There were 4,300 chips and a tablespoon of what looked kinda like nacho cheese sauce but had the texture of 3-day old milk left in a half eaten bowl of cereal. There was hardly any meat in the nachos and after digging through the pile of halfway decent chips I found 3 jalapeños. The burger was served on a bun that you would expect from a school lunch in the 1990âs, the lettuce and tomatoes had a texture like they were left in a microwave for too long, the pickles were decent. The meat was not smashed nor crustily browned, more steamily undercooked and fell apart like an unsettled paper machĂ© piñata that got left in the rain after a birthday party. Even the lemons in our water looked like they had been salvaged from the last customersâ Mai tai.
10 out of 10 will not be back to this place. Very sad as it was quite enjoyable and decent...
Read moreWell the place is under new ownership and it seems to me that there's always transitional issues when that happens. Places to go order for a burger and my wife's breakfast I went on to their website to make selections. Call the order in got there and it was ready one they said, which was good but the price was dramatically higher. I asked the waitress why that was and she said well we don't have a website we have Facebook. They used to always have both. Apparently the website is no longer valid I asked them to honor the pricing and the manager refused. I said you should take that website down she said we can't I have no control over that, really? You know I've been in customer service for 40 years in all my time I've never seen a situation where pricing that was a mistake or whatever wasn't honored or at least found a happy middle ground. But then when we got home my wife's breakfast was next to nothing it was very disappointing the eggs were small hash browns were like ridiculous McDonald's hash browns are bigger. Needless to say I won't give up on them entirely but I was extremely...
