Came by to have some breakfast around 10am on a Thursday. The place was pretty busy and the entry area was crammed with a single menu taped to a table next to the register. You have to order at the register, so this obviously caused people to bunch up around that area, with some not wearing masks.

I just happened to look past the register and saw two people through the kitchen doors not wearing masks. Maine guidelines require all restaurant staff to wear a face covering. Not only is this restaurant not following basic guidelines for their customers, they are not following basic guidelines for their employees. All this tells me is they have no respect for your safety in the midst of a global pandemic.

It leaves me to wonder what other corners they're cutting, or rules they are ignoring. I would like to go out and support the local economy where I can, but if you can't follow some basic etiquette, let alone state requirements, maybe you shouldn't be in...

When we entered the resturant one of the waitresses was arguing with one of the other customers. Not sure what it was about but created an awkward environment. Sat down and waited for 8 minutes before another waitress came to take our order. After waiting a long time for the drinks to come out we ended up asking for our food to go because we were in a bit of a rush. The waitress immediately had us get up and move to the counter so someone else could sit at our table even though there were other tables open. Once we got in the car we checked to see if our order was right, we didn't get silverware, butter, or any cream cheese for my bagel. I went back in to get the items and the waitress acted like I was asking for the world. Not sure if they were just having a bad day or if it's always that unpleasant but I won't...

Good was ok breakfast. Our waitperson Stacy was I'd have to say one of the best waitresses I have had in a very long time.Shes attentive, keeps your coffee hot, plus seemed liked she was doing the same for another waitress, glad she wasn't ours. She was quite loud an abit anxious. And not very friendly to her tables. Also she seemed as though our waitress oughta be doing her tables. I would come again, good breakfast ,and again wonderful service from our waitress Stacy, but if I have to have that other loud unfriendly waitress we wouldn't stay. Thank you Stacy for your...

There's something so very special about this place. About 30 years ago I sat on the big steel table in the kitchen watching my Nana work as a cook, later on I knew people who worked here, and now as a visitor I get to bring my daughter. She picked a great seat and the food was good The service reminded me of the best of Maine hospitality; as regulars filled in and one guy quietly told a waitress he was going to cover the bill for another table. This place can accommodate for peanut allergies and cure an ache for nostalgia.

I ordered an omelette with round crowns, and the wife got the breakfast sampler. The omelette was fantastic, but I'm going to say the star of the show was the raspberry iced tea. It tasted like a Starbucks drink for about half the price, and free refills. I also got a chicken fried steak for later, and yeah, it was a good balance of meat and breading. The gravy was the best part of that one though. We will be back to try some other things out.

So glad we stopped here during our drive between Boston and Acadia National Park. Definitely a locals place with lots of regulars. Fun to hear the chit chat and commentary. Eggs Benedict was solid. Prices were fair. All of the walls of the restaurant - including in the bathroom - are covered in murals. Highly recommend.
