Christmas Lake Golf Club — Restaurant in Santa Claus

On last Wednesday May 17th at 10:03 am I booked a tee time at 8:54am for Monday May 22nd. I drove 2 1/2 hours to play this course with my friend and my uncle. My friend also drove 2 hours. When we arrived we were told that we had to start on the back 9 and we may or may not get to play the front 9 because the fairways were being aerated. We played the back then were told we could play the front but they would still be aerating the fairways. There were dirt plugs at every hole on the front 9. This was very unprofessional. How difficult would it have been to let us know fairways were getting aerated. We would have came a different day had we been told ahead of time. They had to have had this scheduled and knew 5 days ago when we booked the tee time that this was...

One of the hotter days of the year, and perhaps one of their busier days; Saturday of Father's Day Weeknd and the US Open. Great Golf mojo, but they were woefully understaffed, to the extend zero water on the course for drinking. And the Cart irl had no water for sale, only a small container to share some water. Just wildly inefficient. And seems to speak to a course that is not well run. There was also no Ranger so the yahoos ahead of us who walked to their carts through sand traps and never fixed their ball marks teamed up with a pair to make a five-some for the back nine. Course itself is nice, curvy and hilly and I would love to play it again to see more of the features, but there are way better options that are run in...

While I don't play golf, this facility is very nice and well-kept. I was disappointed a while back when I found out that they broke from the Village and are now their own thing. The locals used to get free access to the pool and very steep discounts. Now, the pool is fee-based, but our yearly assessment that partially took care of the pool and facility here didn't drop and we have to pay to use the pool, too.
