We ordered the appetizer of the buffalo chips. They were severely overcooked and aome were even burnt. I got the mushroom swiss burger and it was cooked to death. The gravy that was so salty i wound up just scraping it off the burger and eating the patty. My husband got a stromboli. It was soggy and the meats and cheeses that were suppossed to be melted were still cold. I really wanted to like this place as the locals were quite friendly. Group of old-timers and me from church met there recently for lunch. All the other guys, 5 in all, are from California, and I've been having us meet at local taverns & restaurants, acquainting them with the area. We all agreed, this is probably going to be our go-to place from now on! Great service, generous portions, and good atmosphere compliment the delicious food. We had the most amazing experience at Louie’s Tavern! Brian was extremely accommodating and made us feel at home as soon as we stepped foot through the door. He made us his specialty drink which was incredibly tasty. It’s such a lovely, familiar, cosy and laid back atmosphere - exactly what we wanted after a long day travelling.
