Carnaval Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Santa Isabel

Om March 1, 2020 my family and I had reservations for 30 people and we happened to add 25 more. We got to the restaurant at 2:45pm We were sitted on the big front porch in the restaurant where we were given only ONE waitress for all 30 plus people. We went up to the bar to asked for another waitress , we were told that they were unable to provide us with another waitress because they wanted us to place ALL our orders so that everyone would get their food all together at the same time, I found it very strange and as I looked for the person who sat us down or rather the hostess . We noticed that by the stand where the hostess greets us and sat us they have 5 other waiters and waitresses. But we couldn't get another person to help their wonderful waitress that with her gentle smile was taking our orders. I since have tried to get in touch with the restaurant manager and some rude woman approaches me to ask if I WANTED THE FOOD BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE THAT SHE WOULD HAPPILY BRING IT TO ME. I told her that wasn't the case. All we wanted was a little help with the orders so the the members that were flying out can enjoy their dinner and at least enjoy HAPPY moments with family under the circumstances. . 3 hours later we had uncooked meals handed over to 20%of the family members while others at 6:00 were leaving to another...

Comienzo con que hoy jueves, 19 de octubre de 2023 fui con mi familia, 2 adultos y 2 menores. Llegamos a las 11:30 de la mañana y fuimos los primeros clientes en el restaurante. Llegamos con la ilusión de probar sus comidas y así quedamos, con la ilusión. Como aperitivo ordenamos un queso fundido con chorizo, para la comida principal pedimos una pechuga rellena de yuca al ajillo con SALSA DE SETAS y para mí una pechuga rellena de amarillos con SALSA DE GUAYABA y para completar una ARROCERA DE DOÑA TULA personal y para mí niño alitas fritas con salsa bbq y arroz blanco con habichuelas. El servicio de la mesera fue excelente 👌🏽 muy amable. El de la cocina todo lo contrario. Esperamos 1 hora 10 minutos para que nos trajeran el aperitivo y exactamente 1 hora con 45 minutos para la comida principal para destacar que cuando nos traen las pechugas nos las dan con salsa Alfredo y salsa al ajillo. La mesera se disculpa y explica que ahora fue que le dijeron que no tenían las salsas que ordenamos, contra 1 hora y 45 minutos después, enserio. No es culpa de la mesera, claro. Cabe añadir que aún no nos traían el arroz de DOÑA TULA, por el cual viajamos de Bayamón a Santa Isabel para probar. Al final decidimos no comer nada ya que en nuestra mente ya esperábamos las pechuga con salsa de guayaba y de setas y todavía habia que esperar por el arroz. Decidimos hablar con la gerente. Que hay que mencionar que fue muy respetuosa y se disculpa ya que no conocia lo sucedido. Le decimos que hubo personas que llegaron horas después de nosotros y ya tenían su comida en su mesa, lo cual era molesto ya que nosotros fuimos los primeros en llegar. Ella nos ofreció un postre y no añadir a la cuenta los platos principales, lo cual no aceptamos por supuesto, pero sí aceptamos no pagar las comidas pues no fue lo que ordenamos al principio, al menos no exactamente. Claro está, nos dieron una gift card por el mal rato pasado. Hago este review no para ofender a nadie, lo hago con la intención de que mejoren el servicio al cliente, porque como mencioné vinimos de lejos, para degustar su comida, para que al final no probaramos nada y no la hace. Recomiendo que si no tienen nada listo, a la hora que dicen que abren, pues no abran a esa hora. Preparen todo, descongelen las carnes, verifiquen su inventario y avisen con tiempo, para que entonces el cliente tenga la elección si se queda o no. Como hicieron con otras cosas que pedimos y no habían, como el mojito que no tenían limones y nosotros elegimos esperar a lo que llegan. Pero bendito llegamos a las 11:30 am y nos fuimos a las 1:50 pm sin...

TLDR; amazing place to eat, but not a classy restaurant you might find kids/children and loud music. But dont let that stop you the food is worth every $

Food was phenomenal! I ordered the 10oz steak medium rare. Really good but it wasn't really medium rare. It was a bit more cooked than what i ordered but the taste was still top tier. Portions are huge, I'm the only one who finished his plate but my friends left enough food for another person.

Service was excellent and quick, the girl ran back and forth a few times. I was worried she might slip cause the floors are a bit greasy but man was she devoted to serving us well.
