Lai Wah Chinese Take-Out Restaurant — Restaurant in Savannah

The food is amazing however it's so hard to contact them even when they're open you have to literally drive across town to get to that place I would compare them to the DMV but it's easier to contact the DMV than them they don't even update their hours of operation they really need to start working on that every time I go there either it says it's open on Google and then I go there and they have a sign up and it doesn't make any sense which they should let their customers know what time they'll be open or not at least be transparent with it other than that I love the food I haven't had it in a while now but I'm going to try to attempt to go there today which I've called for the 12th time I don't know if they just leave the phone off the hook and just forget about everybody else who wants to spend their money there but like I said I will be trying it today if I can hopefully I don't be disappointed...

This has been my go-to Chinese take out since I first got to the city. The prices have steadily gone up over the years. I generally get the same thing and the price for the meal started at 8.50 and have since gone up to 14 which kind of sucks but I guess some price raise is expected. The food is always excellent t and portions are good. Many people mention the wait does suck but given how small the place is and now busy they are it's expected. Over all I would recommend this place, the pork fried rice is significantly better then other near by locations and the sesame chicken is very good. Beware must have the patience of JOB to order from this place NO CAP. Food is ok portions are big. Order rice on the side otherwise you will end up with mainly rice. There's no seating just a plexi glass homemade sliding window.
