We chose to send our pig we purchased from a 4H auction here to have it processed since it had the highest rating of the many on the list. It was our first time doing this and we were very excited. When they called, we went over the list of items and how we would like it cut and packaged. The lady on the phone was extremely friendly and informative. Unfortunately, the two cuts that were specifically asked for were not received. It was explained to us that even though I specifically asked for a rack of pork, they cut it into something else, because they did not know what it was. They never called to ask about the cut I requested, or even did a Google search which brings up countless images of it. I also asked for ground pork because I use it often. When ordering I was told that I didn't need to order that because they use the legs and spare pieces to make it. I didn't receive any. It was again explained that they made it into something else, because I had ordered sausage even though I was told I could have both when ordering. You get two hams cut in half to make 4 half hams. I requested for only one of the halves to be ham steaks, but they made an entire whole ham into one. I didn't even mention that when they called because it is what it is. From a $1000 pig, we received a whole freezer full of meat, but neither of the items we specifically wanted from it 🤦. It's a learning lesson I guess. The lady that returned my call about the issue was still just as friendly and offered to make us ground pork, but it's a two hour drive for us. The cuts we got are nice and it's all well packaged. The turn around time is very fast. If I just wanted an animal processed in what I'm assuming is just their standard way, I would definitely recommend them because they did great work. If you are looking for something specific, I wouldn't gaurantee that you will get it, which is why this is a 3 star rating instead of a 5 star. Super duper. Great selection of really good beef at the same price as wartmart's garbage meat. The cottage hams are really good. The smokies are good, and under a buck a piece, which beats the heck out of slimjim's. The jerky is top notch. Both come in many varieties. (the super hot smokies are super hot too!) They sell beer and soda, cookies, plus a bunch of other stuff. There are some "pricey" items (amish farms type stuff), but you don't HAVE to buy it. If you are going by, stop in. The parking is easy in, easy out and never lacking a space, even if you are pulling a trailer or camper. The staff has always been really nice, and I have been going there for a few years.

I've been going here 25 plus years as a off the road destination out in the boonies when I'm out on my motorcycle. This place is more of a novelty rather than some place you get choice meat. There is absolutely nothing what so ever special about the fresh meat. The smokies and jerky are mediocre and carry an extremely heavy smoke flavor. Like it will stink your fridge up. The one thing that remains good here is the bacon. Prices on everything very high across the board. Most smokies and jerky over 25 dollars a lb....
