River Inn Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Scanlon

On April 29th we had a Celebration of Life event on the back side of the bar area. There were over 100 people who were in and out during our 4 hour time slot. My mom cannot begin to express how wonderful our experience was; from getting the reservation placed, to ironing out their catering menu, discussing how we wanted the room set up before the event day, to the event day set up (to which they had given us full reign to use the space how we felt we needed). The food was great and our guests raved about the selection. The weather cooperated and the kids were able to be outside on the deck space as well. Out-of-towners enjoyed the view of the river and thought the space lended itself well for such an event. Our family felt very well tended to during this difficult time and respect given to our questions and concerns, which we whole-heartedly appreciated. Local everyday people watering hole. They have food specials everyday. We were there on Sept. 5 & they had a burger special - $ 2.75 burgers, $ 1.50 basket of fries which were ? breaded & fried - different & really good had to eat the whole basket - my hubby & I shared. We were there during HAPPY HOUR so 2 beers, 1 coke, 2 burgers & fry basket = $ 12.40. Our waitress was nice & we noticed that all the the staff were constantly moving. They hold meat raffles often - we did not win - but what was interesting is they spin for meat then they do a second spin for a free drink. We were headed north and needed sustenance. This was perfect. We picked it because of the river views and we were not disappointed

The menu had plenty of burgers sandwiches and appetizers plus a couple soups, a couple pastas and 3-4 salads. The sweet potato fries were done right. And these is a rumor that they have a Bloody Mary bar on weekends Something for everyone

We didn’t utilize the outdoor seating but it looks like it covered two sides of the building
