We stopped in for dinner as we rolled into town for festival. We were referred to eat here, and we are so glad we did. The tamales were wonderful, their chimichanga is in my top 6, considering all of the chimichangas I've eaten. The Wife took on the burrito, taco, and enchilada combination, and loved it. Stating that they were delicious and filling. The rest of the family really enjoyed their food as well. I truly have to give a shout out to the servers here. We were taken very well care of. They were polite and courteous. I cannot say enough how great of an experience we had. The family and I are looking for a return trip here. Our boys were still talking about our meal there.

Great staff, great service, and extraordinary serving sizes. The Special Dinner is not on the menu, which makes sense, as most people could never finish it. It has a sampling of just about everything they offer, so it's a solid choice for the uninitiated. The stuffed poblano pepper was the highlight of the plate. Authentic representation of Tex-Mex cuisine.

I was told this is the best restaurant in town. I believe it probably is. The food was really tasty. I had the carne arsada. It was well seasoned and very tasty. It was a lot of food. The salsa was basic but very good. I really enjoyed the dinner. Don't let the outside fool you. This is a legit traditional Mexican restaurant with all the classics.

The food is tasty. The staff is friendly, when not busy. When busy, forget about obtaining any other service. They are so overworked there is not the possibility of gaining any other food or drinks. While I was there, I counted three dining room servers to wait on 51 customers. This restaurant seems to be busy all the time. How about spending a little money on repairs/upgrades? Like, fixing the large hole in the men's bathroom wall above the urinal handle. Replace the foul carpet seen throughout the dining room and jettison the harsh fluorescent lights for more attractive fixtures with warm lighting. Consider patching the hole in the ceiling bar area. Maybe, like maybe, replace the bent and filthy grill covering the cold air return in the dining room. I question how they are allowed to continue to operate without any health department actions. The kitchen floor is dirty and quite disgusting. I am glad I couldn't see past the plastic trash bag that was hung from the ceiling to shield the kitchen crew from the customers. There was an open box of something on top of the refrigerator that holds the open-top salsa containers which are delivered to each new table. Eat here...

It's rare for me to give a 5 star rating, but if you're within an hour of this restaurant it is worth the trip. You won't get prepackaged mystery meat, the shrimp won't be overcooked, and they take pride in the food they serve and getting it right the first time. I highly recommend the fajitas. Also, while it isn't on the menu, ask for fresh sliced and grilled jalapeños.

Portion size is more than enough for the average person, and you'll likely need a box to go.

Customer service is top notch as well. The restaurant is clean, and I wish I could give them a higher rating.

The only potential negative is that it is easy to miss, but put in in your...
