Stopped in on The way from Bowling Green as we had never been there. Wasn't busy at all so hoped it would be a quick in/out. It took a long time to get the food. Once we did it was less that desirable. I got the hamburger steak meal at 12.95. Got onion rings instead of the fries. Also added brown gravy for the hamburger steak. Food came and Onion rings were cold, soggy and very greasy as was the corn cake. Did not eat them. The brown gravy was the consistency of pudding and very salty. It was inedible. Hamburger steak was small and thin. Not what is expected when ordering that for the money. Got the bill and was charged $3.00 extra for onion rings. The server didn't mention such an upcharge. Looked on the menu and the difference between fries and onion rings were $.80. In the burger section it said it was $1.00 more. When I questioned it I was told that she says onion rings cost more. I guess she is the owner. I stated the difference in them and fries. I was just told that they know and it just cost more.oh didn't get fries with it either. Then on top of that get a 4% add for using a debit card. This is poor business and customer service and we'll as bad math. Needless to say we won't be back or...
Read moreFood was, ehh, ok?? Service half descent. Is it somewhere I'd recommend- not really. When we arrived the girl working, who assisted the waitress, brought us breakfast menus at 10:50 am. When asked about a lunch menu we were told lunch was after 11. Our server arrived and I inquired about lunch and she stated the lunch menu began at 10:30 and brought us lunch menus. All seemed well. We ordered the fried pickles and the fried mushrooms. The pickles were descent. The mushrooms were still frozen. Two of us literally had to spit out our mouth fulls. Our server seemed very unresponsive. They literally refried the remaining six mushrooms that were left of the order and returned them. I'm not impressed at this point. The food arrived, which was just okay. My husband's burger tasted like country ham (which I had ordered). Our friends' sub was ok. I asked for a biscuit with my ham and it was a dried out (frozen) biscuit, the green beans flavorless but the potatoes and gravy were good. We left less than satisfied over all. I suppose if you enjoy sub-par food, this...
