Went here yesterday for dinner as our last night on vacation. The service was very friendly and helpful. And they were about getting something fixed if there was an issue which was my meal. Seem like they like it for you to sest yourself. Ate inside. Small but quant. We started with an appetizer and soups. My mother in law got the potatoe skins which were very good. They were crunchy and cut the short way instead of the long way. My father in law and I both got the seafood chowder in cups. WOW..... so amazing. Absolutely amazing seafood chowder. The little one got a cheese pizza that looked good. She said it was good. My wife got a chicken ceasar salad wrap. She said it was very good as well. At which point she devoured it. My mother in laws got the Greek salad. It was a good size. So dont expect anything small. They put the dressing on the side. It did look very good though. My father in law got the meduim sized lobster roll. They have 3 sizes. He thought it was good. The only negative thing he had to say about it was that he wished the lobster meat was more thicker and chunkier than how they had it which was shredded. As for Me,I got one of the specials for the night which was Turkey tips(chunks of Turkey cooked like beef tips)in a wrap with sauteed mushrooms, onions and peppers. So it was ok. It had really good flavor but was lacking in an area or so. I had there pasta salad. It was ok. It was pasta in a creamy kinda sauce with relish in it. So it was just your basic kind of pasta salad almost.... I also got the sweet potatoes fries(sorry I ate some so it s not the full order in the picture. But they were really good. Crunchy outside, soft inside (good flavor to then). As for the drinks. The usual. Beer, wine, soda, etc... my wife got a slice of keylime pie for dessert which she loved. It was delicious was what she said. So overall. The staff was very friendly and help full and the food was really great to good. That soup and appetizers being the stars of the night for the restaurant for us. We will definitly be going back! Prices were...
Read moreHeard about this restaurant a long time ago and never had a chance to stop by. This past Saturday I had the chance to stop in to try their food. First they are very busy on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm. Their parking lot is full plus a few cars on the side of the road.
There are 2 entrance to the restaurant; one is the bar side which is really dark, then there is the dinning room side which is clean and neat.
However, when I went through the bar side (first time there), I was lost until I found the dinning room. But no one greeted us. I tried to go up to the bar and try to ask if we should just wait for someone but they just sort of went off to do something else. We stood there for almost 10 min before I found the waitress which told us to pick a seat. There were only 2 tables in the dinning room at the time, we were the third.
The waitress is very nice and I had no complain about her. She actually took our order with just memory and didn't wrote it down. Smiles all around too!
Now comes the food. Food did not take long to arrive. However, the steamer we ordered had a lot of sand in it. I didn't think the restaurant won't let them sit in clean water to purge the sand before cooking it. But they were fresh for sure. They are known for their lobster roll and seafood chowder. They are very good and probably one of the best I've ever tried. I do recommend give it a try if you are in the area.
Overall a great place with good food. Just need a few touch to...
Read moreWorst food in town. Never get my order right, dine in or take out Rice under cooked. The steak was ordered medium rare, but came out well done. Uneatable Caesar salad saturated with extra dressing I could not see the color of the lettuce. Take out order, burger mushroom & cheese but got plain, no cheese, no nothing on it, over cooked. The worst meal was the greasy fried seafood an uneatable salty mess. Pouring salt on seafood doesn't make sense to me. Chicken wings taste like they are boiled, offering choice of not too bad tasting sauces but it's not enough to cover the wings ends up in the bottom of the plate. I prefer crispy skin, grilled, baked or fried wings. Seafood chowder, watered down with some white fish in it, no clams, no potatoes, no other seafood, no flavor of any kind. Can you still call it seafood chowder if there is only fish in a cup of milk. The take out is served in styrofoam containers including the soups, even the tiny portion of lobster mac & poor quality cheese had a funky bitter taste. Yuk, hot food absorbing all that plastic. They always seem to undercook starches, over cook the meat and never get my order right. I stopped dinning in because the staff is not very welcoming. It seems take out orders are tough on them. I don't understand why they can't cook to customers choice. Wow this place should be embarrassed. They have few TVs in the bar area so if your just having drinks and conversation you might be ok just...
