Updated 2025. No more coupon use for 2nd person meal No more discount for paying with cash :( The server told us this up front after showing her the coupon.

Coffee now is priced like restaurants on the Indian river lagoon, at 3.50.

That's fine if there enough servers to bring you refills.

The breakfast hash and rest of the meal is spot as you in on ordered it.

But if you walk in mid week and find only one server, your paying allot for sub par service now adays 3-2025.

I left after seeing the price hikes. And no service when only 3 other tables with customers in the whole place. Went to US1 place and way cheaper, lots of servers.

Old post below right after they left US1 and went to the Golf Course...... Second time at the new move - location at the Sebastian golf course site. Meal of made from scratch corn beef hash great as usual, ( last +8years) eggs cooked perfect, and best made from scratch cathead biscuits like always.

And the prices are more then reasonable for the meal and coffee as well.

Waitresses were on the spot every time the coffee got even to 1/2 way empty in our cups. Place was kind of busy with atleast 10 other tables of customers, at 715am. And still all the waitresses made sure every one had coffee or what not for refills.

Only minor issue would be the AC, kind of set up alittle on the high temp side. Or they turn it on at 7am opening, and it hasn't cooled the main dinning...

I have been on a hunt for a good Gyro in this area (Sebastian). Once in a while I have to have one (and a good one at that).

Today was my first visit to Pelican Diner. I had spotted something on line about a Gyro Special on Thur and Fri. (It is not on the menu).

First off it smelled great in there. The folks working there were friendly. The place is decorated for Christmas. I found out they have the Gyro Special every weekday (Mon through Fri) and I ordered 2 to go to take for lunch in the park.

Our Gyro special came with Gyro, Tzatziki Sauce and French Fries and a dill pickle spear. First off the aroma of these Gyros drove me crazy on the ride to the park. Second - when I unwrapped the Gyro - I was in love! The meat was piled high and was visible and looked great! (most places cover all the meat with lettuce and tomato and onion and Tzatziki sauce and you can't even see the meat. Here the lettuce and tomato and onion was under the meat and the Tzatiki sauce was on the side. The meat was the real stuff - sliced off a spit cooker, and full of awesome flavor. The Tzatziki sauce was great with lots of mello flavor. The fries were plentiful and good. (in my photo a lot of the fries were under the paper from the Gyro.

The Gyro special is $7.45 (with the fries) and I think well worth it!

I took some photos.

I'll be back - it...

(Grr! 🤬 Google deleted my first attempt, so I'll try to remember the wonderful things I wrote the first time.) The Pelican Diner is fantastic! Another great restaurant in this small, great town! When we first arrived, they were slammed! But, we were greeted warmly by the host/cashier and the wait for a table was under 10 minutes. We were offered a seat, some menus to look over, and a server even asked if we wanted something to drink while we wait. We were then sat and greeted by the bartender, Kayla, who was running the busy bar plus three tables in front of the bar by herself (though, we did notice some of her coworkers helping her - great teamwork!). Kayla took care of everyone's needs expertly all without losing her smile or friendly attitude. The kitchen was likely slammed, too, but they got our food out to us fast, fresh, and delicious! My wife's blueberry pancakes were among some of her favorite ever, and my omelet was stuffed - overflowingly so! - with bacon, sausage, ham and cheese! The home fries and rye toast were a perfect compliment. Overall, the Pelican Diner was great! We'll definitely be back and we highly recommend you go there, too! Pelican Diner is perfect for the Sebastian Golf Course. The menu is simple stuff...sandwiches, omelettes, etc. I had the "Full Bill" which had sausage gravy and REAL corned beef over biscuits and eggs - fantastic (picture is below)! The prices are great and the food is good. The atmosphere is easy and the view of the golf course is great. The servers are down home local folks and really friendly. This is a great place for parents with kids, or a low-key breakfast or lunch date with anybody! Enjoy one of Sebastian's hidden gems!

Being the only person wearing a mask- I was stared at by every employee and patron in this place. It’s a mask. We are 2 years in - get over yourselves. My God. Greek salads were ok. Quesadillas not memorable. Tuna fish was the worst I ever had. Either made with miracle whip or added sugar. Regardless, too sweet. And, served with no frills - “great value” bottom of the bag - crushed potato chips as pictured. 🙄 Never again.
