Berry focaccia 🫐🍓with their sweet cheese is bomb. The savory focaccia is made with their Highway 1 cheese if you are into that. But my favorite chunk of cheese is their Estero Gold Reserve. They were offering samples and I was hooked.
Other highlights besides the two aforementioned: pesto cheese knots, pimiento cheese (made with a blend of 3 of their cheeses), cheese curd sampler!
The scones are pretty good. Got the Gravenstein apple one last time as those were season when I last went. Overall, their pastries and cheeses are the stars of the show!
Things that I thought were alright:
Their sandwiches are a bit pricey for what you get. The fried chicken in my sandwich was good but the breading was falling off and there isn’t much of it. The sandwich that is really lacking is the pastrami. It really doesn’t have that much cheese and without that gooey goodness, there’s much to be desired. I wouldn’t mind shelling out a bit more for more sustenance. The potato salad, pickled vegetables, and chips are all amazing sides though. In that order.
The deviled eggs are the smooth and silky type which isn’t the type I like, a bit sour too.
Since people raved about the soft serve, tried that but it wasn’t anything special. You can get it as an affogato.

Read moreMy family and I stopped at this place before hitting up Bodega Bay Oyster Company. We were so glad we stopped by!
We looked at the baked goods and knew we had to get the focaccia. We also ordered one of their grilled cheese sandwiches and this bread baked pear (I think it was also a focaccia, but I can't remember).
Everything was so delicious! Their focaccia is the best I've ever had. And the baked pear was amazing! It was baked with cheese and honey; also the best baked pear I've ever had. The grilled cheese was loaded with mushrooms and vegetables, which was comforting on a cold day.
We left to engorge ourselves with oysters, but we knew we had to go back to Valley Ford because they brought out apricot milk bread as we were leaving. We got three more focaccias and three milk breads. Sadly, the person ahead of us got the last baked pear.
The atmosphere is very casual and very welcoming. Everyone who worked there had a smile. After ordering up front, there are tables in the back to dine. Also, one side of the store has food to go, including their award winning cheeses, and the other has kitchen items. Definitely get their cheese to go. They were delicious!
If you're around Petaluma/Bodega Bay, definitely make a stop here at...
Read moreToday, my girlfriend, a friend, and I visited the Valley Ford Cheese and Creamery at 14390 Valley Ford Rd, Valley Ford, CA. We arrived just before lunch and decided to sit at the bar. The friendly staff greeted us warmly, and we ordered a cheese sampling while the girls enjoyed some champagne.
The cheeses and accompanying snacks were delicious, and the overall vibe of the place was cozy and welcoming. At one point, my girlfriend accidentally knocked over her glass of champagne, breaking the glass and spilling it everywhere. The staff handled it with grace and understanding, quickly cleaning up the mess and seating us a bit further down the bar. I jokingly suggested they give her a plastic cup next time!
The hospitality and kindness of the staff, paired with the quality of the food and drinks, made this a memorable visit. We will definitely be coming back for another round of cheese and good company. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed and...
