Schooner's BBQ Shack — Restaurant in Sebring

Schooner's BBQ Shack in south Sebring is a great American bbq joint you will find on the side of the road serving hot and ready food. They are open the majority of days but I am not sure the exact hours. I know they open up around 10:30am and once they sell out they close shop at whatever time that is!! Could be earlier could be later

And Don't let this food truck fool you. This restaurant is serving flavor filled American classics for take out that will definitely please even the most refined palate. .

I had the pleasure to stop by and enjoy two of their offerings one afternoon a few days ago!! It was around 12pm and there were a few cars in the parking lot. The menu was straight forward and easy to understand. Keeping it simple is always appreciated. Out if the few items on the menu I chose the One that was a big smoked beef sandwich if I'm not mistaken. Haha, I don't recall it being pork but it could have been. Lol I know it was a special they had on the menu, it was a big hefty sandwich and honestly it was delicious. It also came with a peach bbq sauce that was pretty tasty. It was a first time for me and the peach bbq sauce. For my sides I got a few of their options. By far my favorite was the stewed okra. I am happy i ordered an extra serving of the okra because it was fantastic. I know okra isn't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy it especially when cooked right, which this was. The Cole slaw was good, I personally like a more vinegary Cole slaw sauce but this one was good. I also ordered a jerk chicken meal that was smoked to perfection. The jerk sauce needed a little work to really make an authentic jerk flavor but it was ok. I also got some Mac n cheese which was good. I'm not too into Mac and cheese any more but this was good for those that like it. The red beans were good aswell. But by far the okra was the one. Next time I stop by I will definitely be trying some of the other food they have on the menu. I ordered two meals this time and next time I'll get two different ones. Lol Maybe by then they will have added some more options for us all to enjoy!! All I all my experience at Schooner's BBQ Shack took less than 5 minutes from ordering to me having my food in my hand. It was hot and it was good!!👌To think back on it again, I really liked the peach bbq sauce and the meat sandwich together, I'll be back for that sandwich one day🙌 I will most definitely be telling my friends and family in the Sebring area about you guys. You have a great roadside restaurant and I can appreciate your contribution to the community. We need more Pop up shops and more people shopping local!!...

If you’re cruising through Sebring and haven’t made a pit stop at Schooner’s BBQ Shack, let me just say—you’re missing out! This little spot is BBQ heaven, plain and simple. They open their doors at 11 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday and keep the smoker going until the food runs out (pro tip: don’t sleep on this place or you’ll miss the goods!).

The smoky aroma hits you before you even pull into the lot, and trust me, it only gets better. The ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection. The chicken? Juicy with that perfect kiss of smoke. They even had some foil-wrapped surprises I didn’t get to try but looked incredible—next time for sure.

What makes Schooner’s extra special? It’s got that no-frills, local vibe where you know the food is the star of the show. Plus, they’ve got a cute mascot in the form of a dog—because who doesn’t love BBQ and a pup?

Best BBQ in the state of Florida! Fresh made everyday and smoked to perfection, the best Brisket you will ever have topped with the best sauce in town. Amazing food and big portions for a great price. Always leave with a full belly and big smiles on our faces. Family run and the owners are so sweet, friendly and welcoming, make you feel right at home. If you are in the area or visiting, you have to stop by! Seriously the best find since we’ve been out here and in my top favorite places to eat ever. The also updated their seating area and it looks gorgeous! Very comfortable. Come early, they are open for lunch and close when they sell out as they’re a local favorite and fresh smoked every day instead of writing a janky review! Best time is before 1pm. We wake up early and rush over because we don’t wanna miss out it’s that good it flies off the grill. Totally worth it and I would still be going even if they opened 1 hour a day! Thank you guys for always providing quality service and great food....
