Today was my first time visiting Lannie's BBQ Spot. My staff had given me some delicious food from this establishment in the past. Therefore, I was looking forward to tasting the food again. I traveled from Montgomery to get there. A friend and I ordered our food to go. The young lady (about my child's age, late 20s) that took our orders got our orders mixed up. I ordered the ribs with fixings, a swamp burger, strawberry shortcake, and a sweet tea, total $26.10, I paid with my charge card. When I arrived at my friend's home, I discovered I was given a pulled pork sandwich instead of the rib sandwich I paid for. I called Lannie's to make them aware of the mix up. I was told to come back to get my rib sandwich. However, when I arrived the young lady asked me in a loud, rude tone & in a nasty manner in front of other customers & staff was I sure I didn't get my sandwich or was it in my friends bag? I was embarrassed & humiliated. She made me feel like I was a thief. Why would I steal a $9.50 sandwich? Obviosly she required customer service training skills . She took the pulled pork sandwich back that I had opened. I hope they didn't sell it to another unknowing customer. This lack of friendliness and nasty behavior towards an older customer has made me not to ever want to patronize Lannie's restaurant again. I gave them 2 stars because the food was good but the customer service was awful. The lack of respect towards older people left me in shock. Also, I'll never be sure if I'm eating someone's leftovers or returned food. I'm a very disappointed & dissatisfied customer that traveled over 60 miles for...
Read moreA local favorite and must-try if you’re visiting Selma, Lannie’s is well-loved by Selmans and tourists alike and was recommended to us by everyone we spoke to. Their food comes out piping hot, tender and crispy! The bbq plates and catfish were a hit—side note, some of the best catfish I’ve had and was tender and crispy. Highly recommend getting all the sides. The fried okra was fresh and green under batter, onion rings came out golden fried and buttery moist, absolutely loved the corn nuggets too, potato salad was fresh, but on the sweeter side. Desserts also looked great even though we did not try. There is seating outside on picnic tables, but they are mainly operating curbside ordering as...
Read moreThe portions are great, but the quality is very poor. First, sauce might be good, but they put so little on the sandwich and want to charge you 75¢ more for a very small dressing cup worth. The pork tasted as if it was cooked in an oven not smoked or grilled (if it was I couldn't tell). Onion rings over cooked (dark brown) and greasy. The girl out front was very nice and seemed organized, the kitchen (owner I assume) was not - very slow service and we we're only 4 tables before us. Bathrooms were totally gross, no paper towels - hopefully the employees use it? Flies everywhere - dirty windows... and way off the beaten path - not really sure who goes here except the...
