Monte Alban Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Seneca

We come here very often and we usually have good service. I came two days in a roll because on one day my cousin wanted to come and the next day my daughter wanted to come. My bill the second day was completely overally priced. I had never been charged a 26% percent gratuity on any bill. Restaurants are to inform customers that they charge a gratuity percentage when dinning in. I ask the lady at the front where the 9.05 extra came from, she proceeded to tell me it was taxes. In SC it's 6%percent on a dollar. My bill altogether after adding everything up should have only been 34.80, however they added a 26% percent gratuity(9.05) to my bill on their own. Then 2.06 for taxes which brought my bill up to 45.91 for Just two people. I also added a tip so my total came up to 50.35 for just myself and daughter who had nothing but some loaded fries and a ice tea. Usually a gratuity charge is added when their is a group however, that is also supposed to be explained or posted somewhere in the restaurant before being shown to your seat.This will never happen again. I don't like being lied too and it's very unprofessional when restaurants do whatever they want,when they want. It's kinda like scamming people. Making up prices along the way isn't cool at all. As I said before the service is usually good however certain waitress price how the want. Not cool at all and will not happen again. Ordered in the restaurant for supper/take out. The bill total came to $60.+. The portion sizes were horrible!! It looked like kids meals for the 3 ACP with Shrimp Dinners. Some of the shrimp still had the tails on. That's not how this meal should be. We usually always get the same meal. (We were hungry so we didn't take pictures.) We ordered a large Salsa and it too was in a kid size tiny cup. Ridiculous portion sizes!! The food also had zero taste. Very bland, tasted nothing like Mexican food. We've ordered from Monte Alban before and never had to worry about portion size or taste. We were still hungry and we're definitely not kids. We won't be back. We will in fact go to Papa Julio's from now on. We've always patronized both. They have never skimped on portion sizes for the price you pay! Im totally disgusted at the way we were treated after complaining about the raw shrimp, and the over salted steak. We spend alot of money here and this time the food was really off and maybe because they were so packed tonight, that it was rushed. But the way the Hispanic lady is so rude. And when we called back to explain what was wrong with our takeout order, she was very rude and belligerent, it was outright disgusting… especially by customers that put so much money into that restaurant . We have always been treated very respectable, but it’s the one Taller Hispanic lady that we have heard is rude to other people. But experienced that ourselves tonight .. The food was completely undercooked. And with it being shrimp , that could be deadly?  When we very nicely explained our problem. She told us to go get it somewhere else. Another Mexican restaurant.. So we did, we went to.. Mas Tequila Catina & Grill, right there in the big lots shopping center. It was the best decision we have ever made when it comes down to Hispanic food. They are the best and we will definitely never be going back to. Monte Alban in Seneca. Do yourself a favor and go eat at Mas Tequila Cantina & Grill, they have the best Mexican food and their service & hospitality is exceptional..

Estoy totalmente disgustado por la forma en que nos trataron después de quejarnos de los camarones crudos y el bistec demasiado salado. Gastamos mucho dinero aquí y esta vez la comida estuvo muy mal y tal vez porque estaban tan llenos esta noche, que fue apresurada. Pero la forma en que la dama hispana es tan grosera. Y cuando volvimos a llamar para explicarle qué estaba mal con nuestro pedido de comida para llevar, ella fue muy grosera y beligerante, fue completamente repugnante... especialmente para los clientes que invirtieron tanto dinero en ese restaurante. Siempre nos han tratado muy respetablemente, pero es la única señora hispana del Taller que hemos escuchado que es grosera con otras personas. Pero lo experimentamos nosotros mismos esta noche .. La comida estaba completamente poco cocida. Y al ser camarones, ¿podría ser mortal?  Cuando explicamos muy bien nuestro problema. Nos dijo que fuéramos a buscarlo a otro lugar. Otro restaurante mexicano.. Así lo hicimos, fuimos a... Mas Tequila Catina & Grill, ahí mismo en el centro comercial Big Lots. Fue la mejor decisión que hemos tomado en lo que respecta a la comida hispana. Son los mejores y definitivamente nunca volveremos a visitarlos. Monte Albán en Séneca.
