This place was fine... at first. When we entered we were told to sit wherever we would like and we did and a young woman came to our table and took our drink order where I encountered the first problem. I usually order drinks without ice. When my drink came to my table it was loaded with ice. But, okay. I drank it anyway. The same young woman grabbed a notebook off of a wall and wrote our orders down. There was Texas fajitas for two and Texas fajitas for one. Texas fajitas come with shrimp chicken and beef. About this time there seem to be some confusion among the wait staff in aprons as to whether we had had our orders taken or not. We told them we had. When the food came to the table one plate of the Texas fajitas, the Texas fajitas for one had shrimp. The Texas fajitas for two did not have shrimp. Twilight alerted a couple of the wait staff in aprons to the fact that there was no shrimp on the Texas fajitas for two, we decided to just let it go and eat. Later on, one of the members of our party went up to the bar to order a drink. Up into this point, no one had been back to our table to refill drinks or ask if anything was needed. When the drink was brought to our table it was the original young woman who had taken our order, so I asked her to refill my drink and for some to-go boxes at which point she seemed to be aggravated. She did refill the drink and brought the to-go boxes, but she threw the go boxes on the table and walked off. She did not ask if anything else was needed or if everything was okay. We sat and waited on a check for a few minutes at which point point some of us got up and went outside and my husband went to ask the young woman for the check. Her reply was I'm not the waitress I'm the bartender. We had no idea until this point that she was just the bartender as she is the one who had taken our order. At this point, no one knew what we had ordered. I have to say that the food was really good. The people in the colorful aprons were really friendly. The young woman who waited on our table was not. She is the reason for three stars instead of five, because she acted aggravated when asked for a refill on drinks and to go boxes and she got attitude when asked for the check. Hopefully by the time we return, the confusion of the wait staff will be resolved and the young woman's attitude will have been adjusted. That way, I can add two more stars...
Read moreFirst few times we ate there it was great. Has since gone downhill. The last time we had dinner there the server brought us cheese dip that still had a lot of dishwater in it. I saw the water dripping off the plastic bowl and it splashed water on the table as she put it down. The dip itself clearly had excess dishwater in it. Tried it but could not eat it. The food that night was bland and again very watery. When the food came and we showed each other how watery it was we both considered not eating that either but we were hungry so we did eat some of it. We had to wait a long time for the check even though there were very few customers and we left worried about getting sick from eating (which we did not get sick). When this place has a good night the food is great but when it is bad, it is really bad. I really want this place to be successful because of the great location. It will be a shame if they don't get back on track fast. Gentleman who appears to be a manager or owner is on the phone a lot rather than being present and managing. Witnessed that last few times I was there and could not help but think that was part of the problem. It seemed like personal relationship calls not customer related. Life happens and I get that. We will try again but prob not anytime soon. I hope our next visit...
Read moreThe restaurant is very clean and modern with quite upscale decor compared to most Mexican restaurants. And the service is very quick and efficient with very good chips and salsa. Promising. But, the food has to be the most unusual Mexican food I have ever eaten. I ordered the #7 combo of beef enchilada, relleno, rice and beans. The rice and beans were the usual style and quite good overall but the meat in the enchilada and relleno were seasoned with an unusual amount of cumin and not a hint of any pepper or chili powder plus the relleno was basically a mound of finely ground beef with melted queso fresco served over a small slice of poblano as opposed to a whole poblano stuffed with meat and cheese battered and fried. I have lived in OK, TX and AZ plus eaten Mexican food all over the Southwest and Northern Mexico but never tasted anything anywhere close to what I ate today. Too many other better options in the area. Too bad as I really...
