Southside Bar and Grill at 7 Lks Golf — Restaurant in Seven Lakes

I have to give some major kudos to the Southside Bar & Grill restaurant at 7 Lakes Country Club, that we are so fortunate to have right here in our community. We had had a bad experience with meals there earlier in the spring when the prior cook was there, and took a step back from frequenting there. We then heard that the sous chef became the head chef, and the other (responsible) chef was gone...so we went back a couple weeks ago and the meals were EXCEPTIONAL!! You can't get a better meal for the value....not to mention the most reasonable drink prices around the area! Tonight we had the chicken piccata special, with a NEW salad bar option....and it was the best chicken piccata we have ever had. Please, please frequent this gem. We are so lucky to have this so close by right here in our community!! If you haven't tried it yet - get out...

Ordered the "Birdie" grilled chicken sandwich. What was served had the texture of a chicken patty not a piece of chicken breast. It was very dry and tasteless. For $14. a real piece of chicken should be served. Update: Had lunch after golf today and ordered the chicken sandwich again. It was a regular chicken breast and was very good.
