Skoops Ice Cream — Restaurant in Seville

My family and I used to stop a couple of times a week. We loved their ice cream. Today I went there and while there we ordered 1 lg shake and 2 golden girls. I was charged for 2 shakes and 2 golden girls which they fixed, but if I hadn't caught it then they would not of. We took the 2 golden girls that they gave me already in a bag straight home and put them in the freezer. When I got mine it was perfect. When my mom opened hers the cheesecake was so small that you couldn't see it under the small scoop of ice cream. There was also a yellow spoon and 2 flags in it, so I called them and they said they were sorry and would replace the order. Probably less than an hour later the owner called saying he watched the video and there was cheesecake, there was no spoon in it and it was perfectly fine. I have been coming here a couple times a week since they opened, why would I lie about it looking like my mom was served someone's leftovers. He talked to me like I was lying about it. I will never take my business there again. I don't know what your video showed, but I know what I saw in that ice cream cup and I also know they messed up my money. 2 mess ups in 1 transaction and talked to like that, that's ridiculous. Sometimes, when a new place opens that is somewhat novel and unconventional, its ratings can get a bit inflated in the excitement of the novelty. That is certainly NOT why Skoops is rated so well. I went with my family on a Monday night and the atmosphere was great with music playing and well-lit seating. The menu is huge, but each menu item seems to be the result of serious thought, trial, and error, because everything is utterly fantastic. The workers were fast, friendly, and helpful. The prices, especially for a new and unique place with so many unconventional menu offerings (ice cream nachos?!?!), are very fair; Skoops is not one of those places that inflates prices just because it’s unique. And the ice cream and custard are SO GOOD. The sundaes are very unique, interesting, and flavorful. There is a great selection of high quality toppings. Honestly, I can’t think of a better ice cream/frozen custard dish I’ve had than their caramel apple sundae. I really wish I checked out Skoops earlier so I could visit more times before they close for the season around Halloween or a little after - don’t make the mistake I did; try it sooner rather than later!! I truly believe that the almost perfect ratings (seriously, only one rating below five stars out of hundreds? And it was a four star rating!) reflect the quality, value, and service of Skoops and are not merely a result of the excitement that comes with a new and unique business in town. I can’t wait...
