O.M.G. this place is amazing! This was our first time here, after passing it up so many times on our way to different places. The advertisement for the Peanut Butter brownie parfait on their sign near the road was all the motivation I needed to finally stop. I am so glad I did! The custard is delicious. Unlike many other frozen custard I have had. I'm more of a soft serve ice cream person so this was right up my alley! Most ice creams upset my stomach later but I'll suffer though it to have some ice cream. I'm typing this up 3 hours later, and nothing yet! Finally a frozen treat I can eat that doesn't upset my stomach! The parfait I had, had bits of brownie in it and most places that I have had a brownie in the ice cream, its stale, this was like the brownie was only a couple hours old, it was that fresh tasting. The girls there are so sweet and nice, which just puts the cherry on top of the first time experience there. I will definitely be back to try their giant gobs and to try more of their frozen treats! Make the stop, don't wait like I did, you don't know what you're missing until you do!

Update Sept 2023: I have only had the peanut butter flavored items: a parfait, and a cluster(their version of a flurry), still have to try the sundae. But wanted just a plain cone this time, so I chose peanut butter of course, and now I know why their other peanut butter items are so good. This tasted like I was eating peanut butter just without the stick to the roof of your mouth feeling. O.M.G. SO good! 😋 too bad they'll be closing in a few weeks for the winter!

This is one of those hidden country gems you hear about. I've been going to this establishment since it was opened. The aesthic is country/cottage, as the name implies. If you like ice cream though, this place is magical. I've been to various places and not very many compare. This isn't ice crystals Hersheys/ Blue Bunny, but REAL ice cream that's amazingly smooth. I've never been disappointed by the topping selection. Ownership has changed hands over the years, but the the quality of the product delivered is unchanged. They also have a small bakery type thing that offers some tasty treats ( looking at you Chocolate Chip Gobs😉). The environment is very relaxing and the covered front porch is inviting and peaceful. Large servings, but in the 3 or 4 times I've been here it was from ok to good, not great. My husband likes it, likes the large portions. Last time he got a flavored ice cream and it was practically soup. If you're looking for something besides DQ, try it. There's a really large selection of flavors. I would just say don't assume what you're getting is hard/ homemade ice cream. I thought a German chocolate dish I ordered was. Turned out to be a blizzard style mix of chocolate ice cream, caramel & coconut.
