The Tomahawk — Restaurant in Shady Hills

What a hidden gem! My wife and I wanted to do something outside of our normal and found The Tomahawk to be perfect for our quite Valentines Evening meal. The Atmosphere was wonderful and charming, the service was very good as well. I cannot say enough about the food for the evening. I am a very picking vegetable eater, and will tell you the asparagus was excellent! We had a very well done appetizer, wonderful entree and dessert for the evening - well portioned, good temperature, and at a bargain price considering what is normally an expensive evening at most restaurants. Please give our complements to your staff, we look forward to making the drive down again...

There are billboards all over town and even in Anderson advertising this “new” restaurant and how it is open to the public. Stopped by this evening to give it a try (after checking the website to make sure that they were open) only to find that they were closed for a private event. It would have been nice for this to have been posted on your website or even on your entrance door.

Ordered a medium steak and got a very rare steak like it was actually crazy… was kinda pricey for that to be wrong. They fixed it but at the end of our dinner. Husband also found a hair in his water cup so that was a turn off. Service felt like it wasn’t there, got our drinks so late and be ware if you order a sweet tea it is kinda straight sugar lol.

Other than that atmosphere was actually so cool- salad, potatoes, and pork were incredible I would give those 5 stars immediately especially the pork chop which is why I rated the...
