After weeks of planning we made our much anticipated trip to Indian Hills. On check in I had forgotten the newspaper coupon, 4 play for 3. Response was no coupon no discount. Ok 2 seniors and 2 regulars, he says $30 for the seniors, but wait the website states $27. Sorry the website is wrong!!! Not my fault. It is only $3.00 but it is the principal of the issue. Ok. try to pay. Sorry our credit card system is not working!!!! Cash only. We just drove 1 and a half hours from Harrisburg, thank goodness one of us had cash. OK let's get on to the golf experience. Claims were all new golf carts, they must have been in the barn that day!!! After 9 holes of wrestling with our cart we stopped back and got another one. The course was excellent, the greens were great and the layout was liked by everyone. At the turn we stopped for a drink and to inquire about the restaurant which was another reason we visited because we heard good things. Sorry the restaurant is closed, you have to find dinner somewhere else!!! When asked about the price change he says "new owners" each time. I'll probably play here again because it's very affordable, but it's quite unpleasant to expect one price and then have it suddenly double for apparently no reason. So if that continues I might start...
Read moreI don’t play golf but did visit Indian Hills with my family for dinner yesterday. What a pleasant time. Food and service were great. There were seven of us and we ordered a wide variety off the menu. Steaks, chops, chicken, oysters, shrimp, salads, wings. Portions were huge. Everything was totally fresh, obviously Chef prepared, and raved over by all. As soon as I saw the oversized and really well put-together house salad I knew I was in for a treat. My blue cheese dressing and my wife’s Caesar were clearly homemade and delicious. A true sign of a great restaurant. With Indian Hills now totally open to the public, I’ll be...
