While staying at shaver lake, we decided to go grab a bite to eat in the little town of Prather which is about 17 mi from the lake. As a Mexican food lover, I was excited to see a local restaurant in the area. Upon walking in, we were seated immediately and greeted by a very sweet young man who immediately gave us menus, chips and salsa and brought our drinks over pronto. Sadly the food was not fantastic. I ordered cheese enchiladas with beans and rice and my husband ordered a beef fajita burrito. The beef fajita burrito was decent with a rich flavor but very oversized pieces for a burrito making it a little difficult to eat. My cheese enchiladas arrived swimming and sauce and the beans and rice. Although fresh and homemade, we're all lacking flavor and consistency. The rice was very dry and the beans were very runny and lacked a smooth creamy texture. Everything from the chips to the salsa to the enchilada sauce & beans we're sadly lacking salt. On a side note, although I enjoy a great pico de gallo, which is what they served with our chips and salsa, it is hard to eat as a condiment on the rest of your food, such as an addition to the fajita burrito. When the salsa is chunky it falls off of everything and does not blend well. I prefer a smooth salsa to add to rice and on top of meats or burritos etc. And the salsa should be rich with flavor. This salsa needed spice a jalapeno to add a little heat, more cumin and salt. Lots more salt. I also enjoy cilantro but I know a lot of restaurants avoid it because there are people who have an aversion to it. So I understand the lack of cilantro. But know that salsa in any Mexican restaurant is a crucial condiment and should be given full attention to detail and flavor. And this is Petty. I know it, but the lettuce and tomato along with a lemon slice was a bizarre addition to both meals. It just seemed out of place. I know it's garnish but it just didn't go. Perhaps the sprig of cilantro on the side of the plate would dress it up and be a more useful veggie on the side for those who enjoy it or a unique corn cake. Just a thought. I hope this comes as constructive criticism because the customer service was so phenomenal there that I really hope for the future success of this restaurant. Just spice it up guys. You've got the hardest part down which is phenomenal customer service and a timely kitchen. You're 3/4 of the way there. I look forward to giving it another try next time we're in the area.

NOT authentic!!! Tasteless, inedible!!! THAT was no Chile Relleno burrito I’ve ever seen. It was this goop smothered, scoop of beans with runny cheese and bits of green Chile. The guacamole was mixed with another product as filler, not 100% avocado and tasteless!!! The chips, are as bad as they look. All this for $16!!! Folks, come down the mountain more often and see what good food tastes like. Note: employees were observed not practicing physical distancing, not wearing masks or gloves. Eat at your own risk... good luck to you.

The food is really good. Your value is on par with others and as you can see in the picture, the soda cup is huge. The chips are always fresh, but the service is horrible after waiting about 15 minutes. I finally flagged down Lupe and she was very helpful. She came over, took our order brought us our food. They sat somebody else in our area, and those people waited and waited, and when I got Lupe‘s attention, she went over to help them too. We have no idea where our waitress was. They need better help

My family and I stopped here for lunch on our way home from shaver lake. We were greeted right away when we walked in and told to sit anywhere. Customer service was great, got our food literally 5 minutes after the waitress put in our order which I thought was odd for food to come out that quick! I ordered the burrito grande Chile Verde which had no flavor at all and the Chile Verde was dry too, mainly lettuce. Husband got the #2 no flavor at all to his taco or enchilada and meat was dry, kids ordered #27s and again no flavor. The only thing that had flavor was the beans. Overall not satisfied with the food at all, our waitress with the glasses was...

If I could give negative stars I would. My son is autistic with sensory issues and will only eat bacon. Our family was starving after a day in the snow. We stopped and I checked the menu to confirm that they do serve bacon. Their breakfast hours are until noon. It was 230. I asked if they would make an exception and cook some bacon for my son so we could all eat. The cook told the friendly girl behind the counter "absolutely not". I dont really expect special service for myself but I had a hungry 7 year old special needs child with me and this establishment would not even make one consideration. It cant be that hard to...
