I am a truck driver loading locally and got held up over night they seemed to be the only place around. I was in dirty work clothes from the day and wasn’t sure what to expect but instead I was welcomed with open arms and big smiles while small it was comfortable. The staff was fantastic and I was happy to learn they source their meat locally. I appreciate the small menu and limited choices I personally ordered the ribeye shrimp carrots and mashed potatoes with a garden salad and bread pudding for dessert. The steak was beautifully cooked and so tender I personally would have preferred more seasoning and maybe a little more juice with the steak and more butter on the shrimp but I prefer bold flavors. We were in town for Shell Rock's 4th of July celebration. 4 bands and fireworks (a lot of fun BTW). We were hungry and skipped the food trucks to try this place. WOW! The food was amazing. We asked for a substitution on their philly tots (Jerk Chicken instead). They were VERY accommodating and said this was the first time they had made them with chicken. Even though they focus on beef options, I hope they add more Jerk Chicken options on the menu, it was so good! Make sure you save room for the bread pudding dessert. A bourbon glaze with ice cream made this to die for! Bartender was friendly and attentive and she made a wonderful old fashioned! What a fantastic meal and a great restaurant! My friends and I tried the 10 oz petite filet. I chose buttered broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes for my 2 sides. My friends had salads and asparagus. The meal also comes with a delicious dinner roll. Everything was AMAZING!! The steak was tender, juicy, and so flavorful! The broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes were perfect! Portion sizes are large and very generous. I really didn't have room for dessert, but...oh well! When a scrumptious rhubarb crisp is on the menu, you just have to try it!
