Fun Diner, lots of fire fighter stuff. Gotta look everywhere. My favorite by far is the saw blade. Food was good, waitstaff was awesome. I'm gonna let ya in on a little nugget. There's a basket of cookies at the register.A Peanut Butter and a Chocolate Chip. Grab one of each. Momma apparently makes then regularly. OMG!!! I am not a big fan of peanut butter cookies but I'd get fat eating hers. So good. Don't miss the Duckpin bowling next door. You can order Rudy's there too. We came back specifically to bowl at T bowl and eat at Rudy's. We had breakfast on Friday it was so much food. I got Rudys big breakfast and couldnt eat it all. We drove around and did some shopping then hit T bowl to see our friend Amanda and get in some duckpin bowling. We then ordered food from Rudy's and had it brought over to the alley so we could chat. Food was delicious. Met some of great folks at the bowling alley. Just good people. Thanks to Ian and Amanda for a great trip.

This is an amazing diner with amazing staff. The food is also great. I ordered my eggs over-easy and it was perfectly done. My wife ordered an omlette and requested jalapeños on it. She was amazed to see that the jalapeños were cooked into it rather than just thrown on top. Much better than other places we have eaten. It is owned by a firefighter. So all the more reason to patronize the diner. The decor is also firefighter/firestation themed. I have some pictures that I don't think do justice to the place. There is also a cool fire truck parked outside the entrance. Also just inside the entrance, there were these brass fire extinguisher s that I wish were for sale. You will not regret trying this place out if you are willing to wait at certain times of the day.

We ordered crab cakes with mashed potatos and green beans as sides. It was very disappointing as the crab cakes tasted like stuffing and had more onion than crab in that. Also, the green beans tasted like it came straight from the can 🫤, and french fries were soggy, it seemed smushed as well, like it was seating there for a while before serving. Unfortunataly the only thing we really enjoyed eating was the pulled pork with mac&cheese sub, yet, very greasy. The waiter was very friendly :)

I used to love dining here. But lately the Service has been terrible. So terrible we left. The sign says Seat Yourself, so we did. Not one waitress acknowledged us. From what I could tell you had at least 4 there. We watched and waited, 5 other tables sat down after us. One waitress was busy chatting to the lady behind us, walked past us twice, and just walked right back to the table to continue chatting. It seemed phone orders were taking precedence over customers in the restaurant. The waitress on the other side was running around, getting the 2 tables on her side their menu's and drinks. (Those were 2 of the 5 tables that came in after us). Still no one acknowledged us. The 3 other couples that sat down on our side, were finally acknowledged by the two other waitresses, getting them their menus (the one in blk had finished up on the phone). The older blonde waitress was still chatting behind us. I told my husband we sat on the wrong side of the restaurant. We waited another few minutes and then I was done. So we left... And honestly I doubt we will be back.... I just don't know what happened here...the Service used to be awesome and all the waitresses were attentive and friendly. Now they won't even acknowledge you. I am not sure if you need a hostess on Friday and Saturday evenings, so the customers don't get over looked or what but something needs to change. I don't know if your waitresses need better training. I guess I am mostly annoyed that the one was just chatting away not paying any attention to any other customer (regardless if we were in her section or not) and not picking up that her co workers were in the weeds....

Can I give zero stars? After our last bad visit, we decided to try North side diner again. Big mistake. After waiting 15 mins to even be acknowledged, my husband was brought the wrong drink. We sat for almost an hour, watching as tables surrounding us that had sat well after us get their food, some even paying and leaving. We didn't order anything difficult, eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, French toast. I had to ask another waitress for more coffee and how long our food would be. 10 mins later, when our waitress finally showed up with coffee, I explained that I had already gotten more and again expressed my displeasure at how long we had been waiting. I was told in a very short tone that she was busy. So sorry our patronage inconvenienced you. Same waitress as last time. Once the food arrived, it was barely warm, which is even more frustrating. She is very friendly with what I assume to be regulars or people she knows, going as far as to stand and chat and take pictures. She actually came over to the table and asked my husband if he needed more tea, which was over half full, and walked away. Meanwhile my coffee sat empty, yet again. Same bad experience, same bad waitress with the same bad attitude. Too busy to wait on a customer, wow! I certainly hope our experience is an isolated incident, but that is hard to believe when it has been repeated so many times. Sorry North Side, you lost our business, and from what I hear, quite a few others for the same reason. Train your wait staff on hospitality, it is...

My husband and myself are on vacation from Florida for the week and this place is very close to our cabin. We have been going to the diner everyday for breakfast and sometimes dinner. The father of the owner of this restaurant has scolded one of his servers because she spent so much time talking to people from out of state. This morning our breakfast was cold and we asked that it be redone. The owners father told us he wasnt going to make us any new food and they would microwave it or we could leave. We have spent close to $900 at this place for the week we have been here. If you arent a local dont bother going in there because they will treat you like a foreigner.

My 745 update. Ian the owner just sent me a text on my personal cell.phone after I ordered delivery from his restaurant. I'm leaving first thing in the morning so my trailer is already hooked up to my truck. As you can see from his response he is childish and unprofessional. Texting a customer to start an argument is ridiculous and something I would expect from a pathetic business owner.most of your response is untrue. If you are concerned with social distancing you should enforce the rules regarding facemasks for your employees or does the virus not spread at night as only your morning staff wear them. Only your family employees are treated with respect and locals are treated with courtesy. This behavior explains why you have a full time job because your small time restaurant doesn't...
