I have to share my disappointment with Forbush. This is an ice cream place I have grown up with and always have supported when I come back home. My 86-year-old mother just got out of the hospital and wanted ice cream. The line wasn't long so we thought it was okay, only to get up to the window to see that nobody had masks on or gloves. (Workers) During this pandemic especially serving the public you need to follow the CDC guidelines, especially when you are a business owner ! It doesn't matter your personal opinion. You need to take your customers into account. Especially that my mother is older, just got out of the hospital and was told to only be around people with masks. My mother called the manager here and said I was very disappointed to see that you didn't have masks on or gloves. Why would you not be doing those common sense things as handling food. He said we don't believe in that here ma'am. She said I won't be able to come back then and explained what her doctor had told her .He said that's fine we don't need your business. How disrespectful to treat anybody that way. Did he think that she's an older woman so he doesn't need her business or she was older and he doesn't value her life? Maybe he feels she's going to die soon( cause she is older)so why should we care about the mask and the CDC's recommendation. I will not support a business that does not care. No ice cream is worth that! I can get food and ice cream on Elwood road next to Forbush they wear gloves and masks and are exceptionally clean. We have always been treated with respect there. You can get food and ice cream! I am living near New York now and I have seen many that I know or love die from the covid- 19 virus let's be serious people and care about each other. If you can't show your customers care and respect your ice cream is...
Read moreOMG BEST PLACE EVER. Looking for the best ice cream EVER! Well go no further cause you have reached your destination. Its soft, it's cold, it's just plain delicious. I used to be like you fooled by other ice cream, until my wife brought me to this gem and boy let me tell you. It was like she opened my eyes to a wonderful world of cold flavor that I never knew existed. It was like to going to Willly Wonka's brothers ice cream shop. It's just a wonderful world of deliciousness. All of my lactose intolerant friends bulk up on antacids and call off of work for the next three days because you will not be able to move for a while after indulging the sweet chilling effect of the most delightful ice cream out there. There are legends surrounding this ice cream that the U.S. used this ice cream to end the cold war. I once heard that George Washington declared this ice cream a national treasure. There are tales that a leprechaun once traded his last gold piece for a cup of this ice cream. If Chuck Norris made ice cream this would be it. It's as smooth as Morgan Freeman's voice and has the richness of Jeff Bezos. Little known fact that John Wick in fact didn't have a puppy. He actually was eating a bowl of this ice cream and went to use the bathroom and them Russian guys broke in and ate his last bite. Also John Rambo wasn't making his way home he was going to go get some Forbush ice cream when the sherriff stopped him. So you see you haven't lived or experienced total flavor utopia until you go to forbush for some ice cream. Btw the only...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed I have been a customer at forbush for years. I brought my dog today because it was a beautiful day and we enjoy the ride there. I have seen MANY dogs here and heard MANY barking in previous times at forbush. Today, we were in line for about 10 minutes. There was a decent amount of people and the line wasn’t moving much. My puppy was barking, but not being crazy. I was rubbing him and calming him down. A man who i think might be the owner opens the window and screams at me in front of everyone saying “Ma’am, if you don’t tell your dog to stop barking you have to leave.” Of course I left because I was embarrassed everyone immediately looked at my friends and I and my poor dog. I truly feel like that was super disrespectful of him to do that in front of many people. I would have respected it much more if an employee politely came over to me and said “Hey I’m sorry some customers are complaining could you just try to calm him down?”. But no. He screamed at me in front of everyone…. I’m pretty disappointed. Disrespectful and embarrassing. IF YOU DONT ALLOW PETS THERE PUT A SIGN SAYING SO!!!! I ALWAYS SEE DOGS THERE!!!! The Ice cream is ight if you like soft serve tho. Too bad i won’t be...
