The wife and I decided to stop in to Brew Works for the first time and try it out. Upon walking in, we felt the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The look was of a wood/steel combination, like you're stepping into a brewery in which space has been made to eat (which is essentially exactly what you are doing). The service was friendly and quite pleasant and we shared some laughs with our server. Follow up checks on refills, enjoyment of the meal, etc were well-timed - not too often, not too slack. The staff was even accommodating in that we arrived somewhat late and our visit went past their closing time, and never was there a word said about hurrying our meal or that we were in the way in any way. We enjoyed a reasonably priced "4-flight" beer sampler to start and ordered Baked Jalapenos and the Beer-battered Mushrooms as appetizers (shown in photo). Both were very good. Jalapenos were fresh and the mushroom batter was delicious! For the main course, the wife ordered one of the many specialty burgers off the menu. It was a big burger stacked high with fresh toppings, and came with a little metal basket of fries. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken (chicken with noodles and house-made garlic Alfredo). It was very good, though the portion size was quite small for the price in my opinion. For the nearly $13 price tag, and as the ingredients consist mainly of a single, small chicken breast and penne noodles, one could consider it still cost-worthy for the restaurant to offer at least a double portion of the noodles and Alfredo sauce from what arrived on my plate. Overall, the wife and I decided it was well worth a repeat visit at another time, so that we can sample more of what the menu has to offer and try the ever changing...
Read moreUPDATE; they actually got ahold of us and made things right our second visit was a whole different experience! The food was really good this time and our Waitress was great! A much more pleasant atmosphere! Worth giving it another try! Extremely happy with how things were handled!
This was my first and last visit! Our waitress was horrible we only got our drinks refilled if we asked for them to be, when she brought us our appetizer she asked if we needed anything else and when I said no thank you we are good she goes oh thank God so from then on we really didn’t want to ask for anything as it was, then we not only didn’t get our side of fries that we ordered and asked for even after all our food came out but yet tried to add to our bill which was highly annoying as we were already ready to leave and had to wait longer for it to be fixed. We hardly ate any of our food either because it just wasn’t good. Would not...
Read moreService was horrible. Was with a group of 11 people in between a wedding and reception, we just wanted a drink or two to kill some time. The waitresses were extremely rude from the moment we entered. One of the people in the group went up to the bar as we got there to get some menus and a waitress looked at him and then walked away. After the whole group had sat, one waitress said "normally people call ahead if there is a large group and will make a reservation." It took a while to get a beer menu and when the second waitress finally did she just tossed them onto the table. Quite a bit of time passed before anyone came back to take our order, and then even longer for our drinks to come out. The selection of beer was pretty good, so it was slightly disappointing that the service was so bad. It seemed as though it was an inconvenience to...
