Took so long to be seated, we sat ourselves at the bar. Took forever for the bartender to address us (we were directly in front of her) and even longer to actually get drinks. Never offered us a menu, we had to ask for one, which would have been fine if they had ever come back to take our order. We wrapped it up with our drinks. We asked the assistant manager why they didn't stay open later, as we had tried to stop there many times but they were always closed. She told us they didn't want to attract 'that kind of crowd' even though we had just said we were that crowd?? It's literally called Lake View Tavern. If you don't want people at the bar, make it a diner. It was only eight thirty and the waitresses seemed to have mentally clocked off. Chatting only with each other and ignoring customers, as well as yelling at each other across the bar. I live really close to this place and was hoping it was a nice place for a drink and burger, but I'll...

"All Burgers Come with Fries" NOT 1-31-2024

Ordered a Hamburger with Tomato and Mayo only and asked to exchange the fries with a side salad. Waitress said it would come with Chips? She called it a "Build Your Own Burger" which is not listed on the MENU!

We Unbuilt one with only Tomato and a smear of Mayo with a salad that we thought was an exchange for the Fries but were charged $15.

Regardless, If it is not a "Specialty Burger" and you want a Salad with it it is $15.00!!!!! $10.50 for the burger nearly PLAIN and $4.50 for the Salad.

A Specialty Burger at most is $13.75 and can exchange the fries.

I didn't take calculus in school but the Math here doesn't add up!

The Fish Basket is Wonderful! I'll miss it.

When the restaurant we originally wanted to eat at turned out to be closed my friend and I searched for something else that wasn’t a chain. We found this place. We were greeted warmly as “friends” and the waitress was superb. We ordered onion rings which turned out to be a little odd for my taste - very thick with what I’m sure is homemade batter that was...slightly puffy? I found it odd and didn’t like them as much but my friend enjoyed them. I got a “build a burger” and their burgers were nicely seasoned and good sized. Good fries. Friend got a philly wrap and he said it was also very good. Overall we were glad we...

The interior is really neat. Very much an old, rustic cabin feel. There were lots of locals the night we went. The chicken wings were very good. I like the thin breading a lot. They were big and juicy. The sauce wasn’t quite what I’d like but that’s probably a preference issue more than a quality issue. I had the pasta. The noodles and sauce were exceptional. Unfortunately, the shrimp were way over cooked. I probably would have given the food 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the shrimp a $12.00 add to the pasta and were rubbery. The drinks were good. We’ll definitely be back. Overall, it was a great experience.

I feel it's a hit or miss here. We ordered onion rings, which I feel weren't crisp enough. The clam chowder was mostly potatoes and was served cold until we brought it to our waiter's attention. The sandwich I ordered I felt was pretty good, however, I didn't like that it was served with chips from a bag. What grandma ordered was the shrimp, we're the size of 31-40 lb which is fairly cheap shrimp to get at a grocery store compared to its price. Service was open and welcoming to us.

Stopped by on Mother’s Day weekend for dinner. The building is nice lots of atmosphere, like an old up north cabin. Food is typical bar food, not bad but not great. $6 for a draft beer. When we were there they had the music on really loud, it was 6 pm. Greta van Fleet and the Toadies at full volume isn’t great dinner music. Asked the waitress if they could tone it down she said “I don’t control the music.” Not what we were hoping for. Probably won’t be back.
